👍👌👏 I just heard of Primitive Pete for the first time and instantly came here. This video is still very important and so true about the abuse of tools. Only two things might have changed: There are rubber mallets existing and most screwdrivers have plastic handles nowadays. These can even kind of explode in ones hand when hammered on them. Splinters can easily reach ones face/eyes or at least damage ones hand.

I was a mainframe programmer. Mainframe files have to start with an alpha character each node, with each node being a max of 8 characters. After this commercial, where ever I worked, I would always keep a "scratch pad" dataset with a name closely resembling "AAAAAAAA.AAAAAAAA.AUTO.REPAIR". Sometimes the first text in the contents was "They hung up". Anybody had access to these and many who knew about this commercial would get a real kick out of it...
