Both Victorian houses are beautiful and well preserved with still having the vintage items. To live in one of those houses is a dream❤. People in the victorian times really took their time to decorate and also build houses with sooo much details. I wish they still build houses like that. Wishful thinking I hope it does happen. Thank you for sharing again with more beautiful victorian houses. How exciting you're coming to San Diego next yr. There are victorian houses all together right up the hill behind the Whaley House. Be sure to check those out, one of them was own by Burton which made me pretend its one of the ancestors of Tim Burton lol, so I had to take a pic in front of that house 😅. Both homes are beautiful..I live 40 miles from Oakland and never knew until just now about the Cameron Stanford house on Lake Merritt..and my Mother lived in Fremont back in the 70s and had no idea about the Patterson house..I think next Christmas I will go on a tour of them.. I got so excited when this came up! Because For years now I have always searched for Victorian Christmas Home tours and there was basically just a few. Now I must say this was Lovey But still a Little disappointing. I wasn’t wowed by any of the Christmas Decor. 😩 Honesty I saw way better in St Augustine.

Hi, Allie! Both of these tours were wonderful, beautifully filmed and narrated. And, of course, the homes themselves are a treat. Both reflect and preserve a way of life that is really hard to fathom in today's world. My favorite spaces were the playroom, maid's quarters, and kitchen in the second home (which probably reveals a lot about me). A beautiful victorian home it is❤. The elegance and classic style. The wall paper are sooo very beautiful!!! The lighting to each bedroom is just sooo relaxing and cozy. The one bedroom with the 2 mannequins scared me a Lil when you turned your camera inside that room lol 😅, didnt exoect them in there. I bet there are some spirits in there, maybe the original homeowner spirits. The home reminds me of our Whaley House here in Old Town San Diego. Thank you for taking us to this lovey tour. I love these types of videos so much. I just love Victorian homes and they are so beautiful to me.

As a docent at the Meux Home Museum, we often visit other historic homes for inspiration. We have been to the McHenry mansion several times and their docents have visited our home. The Mc Henry is spectacular any time of year, but extra beautiful at Christmas. Just this week, the beautiful and historic Bidwell mansion, in Chico, Calif. was completely destroyed by fire during restoration. It’s devastating when this happens to historic buildings. Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t get the chance to see these places in person , but thanks to you and others who take the time to give us video tours, they will at least get to see the elegance and grandeur of days long ago. The home estate and its gardens are sooo elegant, beautiful, extinguish, and very detailed in the design. This home doesn't seem like it's in California, it looks like it's in Europe. Its sooo very beautiful 😍 🤩 👌 ❤️. It's a huge estate, sooo many rooms and they are all decorated to each style. Back in the days, homes were sooo well kept in elegance. To be alive in that era how wonderful. Thank you for taking us with you to this gorgeous estate home.🤗💖🎄
