Painting my front garden - 'Charm of Goldfinches!
Переглядів 8219 годин тому
A new experiment for me - putting wildlife in my painting! But I couldn't resist the subject - goldfinches on the teasles in my patch of wildflower meadow at the front of my house. I'd left the teasels over winter in the hope of getting goldfinches and sure enough, they came - at least thirty - definitely a 'charm' .

Lovely
I love your work and your technique is fascinating - you are so generous to share it. Focusing in on shapes and producing something so beautiful is a lot harder than you make it look. I'm a big fan of pattern in my art too so I'll be looking forward to seeing more of your demos if you manage to fit them into your busy life. Many thanks for being so inspirational🤩👏♥
Many thanks for your feedback!

Fantastic! I really like the Buttercups on Binsey Lane and the freedom and space of the one from Western Australia.
thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing your painting method, you are so generous! You certainly have given me lots of inspiration to go forward with the development of my abstract painting. I recently visited Ashridge Estate once owned by HenryVIII and Elizabeth 1, I want to do a painting of the garden area and now after watching your video I have some inclination of how to approach it (I think)?! Thanks again Elaine and I look forward to your next inspirational video 🥰🥰xx
Hi Elaine, thanks for posting this second part, I really wanted to see how you continue to develop the picture as you go and how the process 'bypasses your consciousness'. I think lots of creative processes work like this and the end result can often be a surprise to the creator.
Fascinating! So good to see the whole process.
Revelatory! Can't wait for Part 2!
