Well done Jimmy. I like the white around the grill & plan to do on my 66 when paint is done. To me it makes the grill pop & adds a little contrast to the primary almond color on the front of the truck.

I purchased a vehicle from Maple Motors several years ago and I was also operations manager at a specialist dealership throughout the 2000's. From my direct experiences, I can tell you that most people don't realize that there is often times significant differences between retail value and market value, or "what people are willing to pay." On the vehicle that I purchased, I believe I paid pretty close to Hagerty fair condition value, and the car arrived pretty close to the condition that Nick described. I wanted something to slam an LS into and do a mild restomod on, but it is a matching numbers 4-speed car and I couldn't bring myself to bastardize it, so now it sits. I drive it a few times a year, just to keep it going, but nobody wants to pay anywhere near what I paid for it. With regards to your truck, it's a very cool truck. I like it. I'm okay with the interior being different, as I would probably throw some Brides in it anyway. I like the paint the way you have it, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea. I'm not a huge fan of the "basic bro" wheels, but could live with it until I swap for some Fikses. My suggestion would be to do a nationwide search. See what similar condition trucks were going for and price it competitively. Also, it wouldn't hurt to use the Hagerty evaluation tool and run this one in between "fair" and "good" market value. @primeredisbest 1978 was the first year for optional diesel motors in Chevy & GMC fullsize truck models. The motor was a 350 diesel V8 & was only available in half ton 2 wheel drive pickups. Fast forward to 1982, that motor was dropped & a new 6.2 litre diesel V8 was introduced which replaced it. Unlike the 350 diesel V8, the 6.2 litre diesel V8 was available in all models except for the 2 wheel drive K5 Blazers & Jimmys.

Jimmy it's clear you put a lot of money and effort into restoring Billy Jeans. I'm not an expert on prices and would not venture a guess its worth. I do know it would make a wonderful truck for a daily driver a regular person could enjoy. I hope someone will be able to take it and enjoy owning it soon.

I never liked stepside pickups ,just fleetside, I'd ask $25 or best offer,and if someone out of state bought it, wonder what transporting would cost ? Some say $10 k - $15k have to figure in the cost of everything you've done to it, ,nice vintage truck anyone would love to have

That truck is worth around 10,000 to 20,000 I had a 65 chevy 4x4 had 283 v8 had 4 speed with granny gear I paid 2,000 for it was a light yellow and it wasn't perfect 😊

Sometimes crowl vents under wipers in front of front windshield, get clogged up with leaves debris etc and water runs down fire wall thru seams inside under dash then on floor, look up under dash on passenger side for rust where water got in. ,if it was heater core , someone would of fixed it soon because of lack of coolant, and would of smelled it. I'd take of crowl vents , clean out debris, that rusted from a long time of water coming in
