ENTROPOLY - Entropathy in 1:13.963 (first clear)
Переглядів 859 місяців тому
This level was made by my brother @Seemmetor in the game ENTROPOLY, which is a Melee break-the-targets like game with platform fighters physics and an air dash made by Wills Blackett. Took me 20 hours to beat this level, so I'm really happy to get this run. :D

Shoutouts to Wills Blackett for making this banger of a game! From Steam: ENTROPOLY is a time-trial platformer inspired by platform fighters. Wavedash into the psychedelic realms of the elements and help Poly fight chaos to restore balance. A ledgetrapping strategy that is in particular effective with brawler-type characters. Song: All Good · Laster

Young Link parry footstool combos with bomb
That thumbnail + title goes too hard
ORANGE LUIGI = SPONGE
Green Kazuya.
I never noticed how slick Luigi's fireball animation is
I'll just say that if Luigi grab you at 0%... Start praying. 💀
Insane
Z-axis moment
this shows me there is much more room for me to improve, thank you
How the hell do you get every single world record in every level, i have never seen such complete and utter dominance of a video game.
youre actually insane
better idea: forward smash
thank you so much, just wondering does young link have any setups to shield break?
The most realistic one is landing sharking uair -> wait a bit -> rising fullhop dair when someone is shielding on a platform above you
very very good video, godlike work
This video is nice! Thank you for showing us Supa!
Dude! I'm a big fan I'd like some day to fight with you I'm YL main too
i hope no one views this, i hate young link and i hate super smash bros. fuck everything.
I'm not even a Yink main, but oh lord am I terrified for my life now 😨😅
This is pretty hype! Lots of motivation, Can't wait to try it out 😎
This is amazing! Love seeing something new after years of smash. I'd love to figure out how to do this 🔥
It looks to easy when we see you doing these things xD. Thanks for this video
Supahcontent!
Dang, young link kinda busted brav
thank for the vidio sem, i would lke more videos
You are my inspirartion supahsemmie, thanks for the video!
Even more info: -Chars like Sonic, yoshi, pichu, megaman, inkling, piranha plant, ivysaur, mewtwo hurtbox shift either during the footstool or after the bomb itself so that z-drop zair whiffs at low%. -Downtoss does slightly more% because of the momentum and this makes the bomb tumble slightly earlier than z-drop. -Zair starts tumbling at low% with high rage, so be mindful!
look at him schmoving 👀
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
What is that input
do you know if it’s possible to cover neutral getup with drop shield down tilt for a hard punish? I think chroy players drop shield jab by reacting to movement, but I’m wondering if the two frames slower yink dtilt is too slow for this🤔
YL dtilt is 3 frames slower so it's gonna be difficult, maybe with cracked reactions? Personally drop shield jab (f4 instead of chroy f5) works for me often enough
Getting top 10 on a ton of nightmare courses and you still being seconds ahead of me on every one was insane on my recent playthrough, you're amazing!
Very good video! I'm using Young link and this is very useful for me
i'm guessing this is all with no DI
I'll try!
you are INSANE
What
sickkkk
Always knew you had that speedrunning gene bro
<3
Absolutely cracked
thank u mi frend
I love using this ledgetrap! I know Roy/Chrom can even spend the shield release frames to identify a neutral getup for a jab which is insane. It requires great knowledge of visual cues to distinguish the getups though, but hopefully there will be a resource on it very soon...
people with bad reaction time: “Well, im screwed.”
what do you do if they jump off ledge and dodge down
Same thing as normal getup
On average, human reaction time is around 13 frames (216.67 milliseconds) In most cases, this duration could prove unreactable, relying heavily on factors such as the frames taken for a jump, the attack animation, and any delays between inputs. However, even within this unreactable timeframe, utilizing the parry window can be achieved consistently either by predicting the opponents option or by having an above average reaction speed to do it on reaction because training mode isn't the best testing ground because the timing would be the same every time and even if you alter the timing you would still be the one in control of it. Parry is frame 4 at minimum because shield must be up for at least 3 frames. A parry can happen during the first 5 frames of shield drop. That window would be fairly easy for humans to do consistently but that still only leaves around 18 frames at most which while reactable to most people is unreliable unless the opponent does the same exact timing every single time within a 5 frame period. A good option but not one to go for frequently due to timing and mixups.
13 frames is fast, I think it's more like 15-ish? 15 frames human reaction time + 6 frames general input delay in offline play = 21f response time. A lot of aerials from ledge, if they want to not do it very unsafely, take like 20+ frames. Similarly, most getup attacks are in the range of 23-26 frames. Since you are holding shield, the parry on release is frame 1, not frame 4 (that would be if you did a flick parry which is also an option). You can see that if you release on reaction you have a parry window of frame 22-26, which will generally cover the above mentioned attacks. Indeed the mixups from the opponent (especially delays) mean you can certainly not always do this, but imo it is a very safe and low committal way of ledgetrapping that you can apply more often than you'd think. Just look at players like Glutonny
new tech idea: just fucking know when your opponent is going to attack and parry it stupid
Thank you very much for sharing this! I am most certainly going to add this to my gameplay
A neat idea but its not possible to just raw react to a double jump aerial like that consistently without a hard read on your opponents timing (at that point just outspace and pick a move). Also even if it was possible to react you'd be so focused on punishing that one option that you would probably lose to them picking any other option. To top it all off super reactionary ledge trapping like this is exhausting and I guarantee you'll run out of steam if you're playing in a tournament environment
Long reply but I wanna fully clarify: You're not reacting to the double jump aerial, you're reacting to the first few frames of their character moving at the ledge. If you drop shield the moment you see their character do ANY option, good reaction times are definitely in time for a lot of aerials such as the ones shown in the video. The roy nair example I give is the roy timing his getup randomly and I can hit it consistently without hyperfocus. The "too fast" aerials (e.g. mario uair, wolf fair) are generally unsafe on shield, and since you will react too late you will block those normally and get a punish. There are exceptions where this strategy kinda sucks of course such as vs gnw nair. The parry freeze frames and audio cue give you enough time/info to confirm the aerial and punish. If you don't see/hear a parry you still have time to cover roll or pressure normal getup etc. That's almost the entire point of doing it like this: you still get to chase other options after the 11 frames of shield drop. I agree that aerials from the ledge are still read based if they start delaying them. At least parrying them gives YL great early kill opportunities whereas outspacing is almost always less rewarding (they get DJ back by landing). Even without considering aerials you still see players like Gluto do this over and over again just to not have to care about getup attack. I also use this in bracket myself and since this is just raw reacting to visual stimuli you can train/flowchart this to be an automatic response, saving your tournament stamina.
@supahsemmie7101 Sorry for late reply but yeah I see that makes a lot more sense since the shield drop would option select a few of the options and you can react to the others. My fault bro keep up the good work
@@lordtt3984 Hey I appreciate the response man, thank you ^^
Noob Question: how do you set up endless ledge scenarios in training?
I use a mod called the UltimateTrainingModpack. You can find a link on Github with instructions
