These are more compact but need to ask the following: - the difference between 05 and 06 is 06 has a built in battery right? - does both of them use the same repellent tablets as the EMR10? - can both 05 and 06 be powered with an external power banks indefinitely? - how long does it take to recharge 06?

A big issue is the non-secure lockout-mode. I burnt my pants and the plastic lenses twice in the first day of carrying it clipped to my pocket, although I did activate the full lockout. There are other vids here on UA-cam were it happened the same way. The locking code "one short - one long" is too simple for preventing unlock by accident.

Considering what it is intended to do, may I suggest… TAKE IT OUTSIDE…. AT NIGHT…. AND SHOW US.

Going to copy and paste a comment I made on a review on youtube in hopes a designer from Nitecore reads it: Nitecore missed the mark with this light imo. They wanted to make an edc light but put tactical features on it. It's too long and while 3000 lumens is impressive, you will not use it in an edc light other than to show off to your friends how bright your light is while draining the battery 15 seconds at a time. Another missed mark is the 6500k temp. A warmer or neutral tint or even better a high cri is much better served for an edc light. What I would change to make this a perfect edc light: Imo make this 1-2" shorter, get rid of the 3k mode and replace it with 1000-1500 turbo with a longer run time (2-5 min before step down) and reduce the 1k to 500-750 lumens (with no step down). This way you have nice evenly spaced out output for different "edc" tasks (15/65/200/750/1500). Change emitter color temp to a warm or at least neutral tint, 4000-5000k. Keep the quick access to turbo and strobe and these changes would make this the absolute perfect edc light in this form factor. I could easily see this as Nitecore's #1 selling flashlight.

Really wish flashlight companies would stop using 6500k emitters. High cri emitters in the 4000-5000k are sought after for a reason for edc lights.
