We are Ian and Annette, two widows from the English Midlands living a 'Last of the Summer Wine' kind of life in retirement.
We see ourselves as being in the second chapter of our lives having lost our partners whom we thought would always be with us. We decided to make the most of the cards we were dealt and know the ones we loved so much would want us to be happy.

48 hours in Lisbon and Cascais staying at Lisbon Calling in January 2024. I had never been to Lisbon so when I saw a return flight on Ryan Air for £25 it seemed an absolute bargain and it was.... Saturday at Sumerfest in Tudor Grange Park was a great day despite the terrible weather.

I like the ending, not many people will ever see it though. Audience retention isn't that good :) We resisted the temptation to eat but there was lots of choice. Re food we watch 'Gary Eats' he's really good.

Yes graffiti can be an eyesore but in some cases can work to make a dull wall interesting. Hard to say what works and what doesn't. Banksy seem to get it right though. Thanks again for watching our videos 👍

Hello and sorry for the late reply. The gardens are part of the Grand Hotel Vitoria and the entrance is on Piazza Tasso NOT near the lift. You should have a drink on the hotel terrace if you go there. Its worth the cost.

Hi there, I love to watch your videos; me and my friend going to Sorrento next month and would like to know for buy the ticket for bus to get around? For day trip to Amafi, Positano, at Positano would like to hang out for drinks and shopping 🛍️. If you can please give us advice about it. Big thanks
Hi Tammy. You can buy a ticket for 1 day travel on any SITA bus for 10 euro so can make multiple trips on that ticket. I bought mine from a kiosk at the rail station. Bear in mind the bus's can be very busy at times and you may have to wait for a while to get on a bus. I traveled very early so wasn't a problem but your not guaranteed a place on the bus. We thought the boat was good value. it gives you 2 hours in Positano and 2.5 in Amalfi and a nice relaxing ride. Have a fantastic vacation. Start out early to miss some of the crowds.

Sorrento looks so lovely!!! We are thinking about staying in Vico Equense , which is 2 stops before Sorrento! We were going to go there and do Pompeii and Capri. Sorrento looks like it is not as crowded as Amalfi!!

We only saw a little of Vico Equense on our way back to the airport but it is not far from Sorrento by train, about 12 minutes and only a few euro. I would recommend getting the ferry to Positano and Amalfi, both are lovely but yes very busy. We hope you have a fantastic vacation.

Beautiful but seems too touristy. I think I'd head inland for a B&B. Any news on Campi Flegrei and the earthquakes? This might be a good premise for a TV sitcom, done as a vlog.
Wow we hadn't heard about Campi Flegrei until I looked it up this morning. Hopefully things calm down.
Enjoyed the history on this vlog tremendously. My husband and I did a trip to cornwall last summer and learned so much history. We did Wadesbridge, Port Isaac, and tTntagel and before we got to those sites we did Salsbury and Stonehenge. Looking forward to seeing more. We are from Southern California, USA
