If it’s a constant problem, first thing you need to look into is your hand fighting on bottom. You’re most likely doing something that allows them to scoop your elbow into the chicken wing.

It's a fight, of course he won't let it go he's saying you need to try your b3st to get your elbow forward and down and inch your arm forward...this is standard armbar defense...if a guy has a really good bar you're not going going to be able to do this, but this is what you'd be trying to do, same with raising your arm up, your arms not gonna just go up loke that, hes gonna be chopping, handfighting, readjusting...its gonna be a grind and even if successful probably wont work the first time, youre gonna have to keep coming up and trying...I'm a d1 wrestler and essentially this is what I'd be trying to do, but of course it's gonna be a dog fight to see if you can actually do this or not, guy with a good armbar who knows how to ride, good luck to ya...
