Yes, I went specifically to see the Spitfires after visiting the one they have at the Potteries Museum in Stoke. I later started using VR in MSFS 2020 to fly one. Great fun - I have to say that one of the biggest draws for me on the day was the Lockheed Blackbird SR-71.

Another note is the use of the Merlin Engine in the Mustang P-51, another one I went to see. I see that this the plane Tom Cruise has as a personal toy and he flys it in the Maverick Movie.

It can be a challenge to make every room sound great, you can see that they try to. Room conditioning in most of them. Some get it right and others don’t. The funny thing is though, at some shows. I find the larger rooms can be worst than the small ones. At one show, the smallest system - a budget one - sounded like the best room of the show. I have been to shows where the most expensive and flagship system sounded the worst. I’m guessing the exhibitors all have good days and bad days. I do believe that the room size is a challenge but done right it can be overcome.

The UK Audio Show is all about exploring the vast array of choices available in the audio market. While some high-end gear may offer incredible sound quality, not everything aligns with personal taste or delivers the desired audio experience. Surprisingly, I've found that at times, some of the more budget-friendly equipment showcased at these events can deliver exceptional sound quality. I once encountered an Italian system that cost millions but didn't meet expectations in terms of sound quality, proving that price doesn't always equate to performance. Interestingly, the best audio experience I encountered at one of this year's shows came from the most affordable system. This resonates with my experience with headphones and amps as well. Despite trying a setup that was quite expensive, I found the ones that truly impressed me were from IFI Audio and Meze, which cost significantly less but outshone the more expensive options. Moreover, the soundtrack of this show was particularly enjoyable. Cheers

Yes 100% it’s worth the money. Yes I’d do it again. For beginners? Yes and no, I really struggled with the climbs and only just made it to the end. Beginners can do it, as I did but it’s hard. This is something you need to train up to and use as a goal and motivation to get you out riding. Also the difference between gravel and road is pretty big, I went straight from road to this and found it much harder than I imagined. However having said that, this was so much fun. I’d recommend it to anyone.

I think it's really important to take time out of our busy lives and spend quality time with our children, especially whilest they are still young. We don't take ourselves too seriously and like to have some light hearted fun from time to time.
