I worked for graham (Chef) in 2007/10 when I worked at Carden park.. He is an Absolute Beutifull man too work for . before I left too be with my new family in Oldham. Any chef young looking for Getting into the culinary world would be silly not to apply to work for him. Miss Him massive, Still need too go fishing in old colwyn or Llandudno at some point gb Graham

I'm honoured to have known Sean Rose,as i was his younger brother's besst friend in my late teens. Sean & his brother were the quickest learner's in Extreme Sports & were & still are very athletic.

Loved John’s insight into his Macdonslds pocket book and how he believed in the processes & procedures of the company knowing they worked which enabled his part of the business to succeed but also that Macdonalds are still innovating this to make it more digital for accessibility 🙌😁

Had the absolute pleasure of working for Maurice when I worked at Heineken/Scottish & Newcastle. Inspirational, passionate leader who’s team would have walked on broken glass for. A great leader, but more importantly a great human.

An organisation which truly takes into consideration the human factors of its workforce (rather than just paying lip service) is one which deserves to flourish and thrive. The so called managers in some of the places I have worked would certainly benefit from a leadership training course delivered by Di Worby of Global Air Training. Thank you for this compelling and enlightening podcast. Keep up the good work.

So distracting and definitely adds to my stress levels seeing things pop up that I can't look at or action right away.

John is such a humble guy with amazing leadership qualities that he's oblivious to. What stood out for me was how he talked of the part everyone else played in the successes he's had. That ability to command the respect he has, is leadership in spade loads. It still rings true today. Look at the accolades he receives several times daily on LinkedIn. He is so well respected and has a work ethic like no other. Those qualities are what makes you your Dad's son, John. Your life results are just like his but you took a slightly different path. Success will always be about doing the right thing when no-one is looking, and you always do that. He raised a good 'un 👏

After a couple of minutes I found myself sitting up and wanting to hear more of what Claire had to say. If she doesn't think of herself as a leader, it's probably because she has all the attributes of a good leader but doesn't realise it. It is just her natural self to communicate well, empathise with a team and show care and consideration for them. Members of a team "allow" themselves to be lead, and they are more likely to do that if their leader is a likable person. And you don't have to become "one of the lads" to be liked and respected! A very worthwhile thought-provoking 20 minutes, well done to you both.

Really enjoyed listening to this. I'm just a small company with only me at the moment but being an interior designer I've worked on many sites where I've had to manage tradesman. So I relate to what Mike said about it not working without the team and trusting that team too. I always did my best to make each trade feel valued on site. And one day when I have grown the business more and have a full time team I'll remember Mike's comments and his advice! So Thank You
