Thanks! My grandpa has said when he was younger, this land didn't have many deer or turkeys, but more pheasant. It has since swapped.

@@travistrim6425 I agree. I used to hunt years ago and I loved just sitting and watching what else came along in the woods.

This land is in Montcalm County. My great great grandpa owned this land and it has stayed in the family ever since. I enjoy being out there and watching the wildlife very much. I also enjoy hunting it. I grew up near Lansing so this isn't too far away from me.

@@travistrim6425 Very cool, we hunted the old Brady Hills ski lodge just west of Lakeview, for years, and after that, we hunted a farm a bit north of Gowen, both were wonderful places!

I haven't in a while. Just been busy. Plus, I've had lots of camera glitch issues lately and the early spring footage I had was just really boring lol. I did get out there the other day and what I've seen so far looks good. I'll get around to posted some videos from it soon I hope

No, tried hunting back in the swamp, a lot of spikes and young buck but I have one buck I named coffee top, he s pretty wide and one side of is rack is almost flat, you have him in all lot of your videos

Baiting isn't even allowed in Michigan anymore (for the most part). We've never baited on our property.

@travistrim6425 I know and correct way to harvest game. I lived in texas where hunting is a joke!

It took us a while to drop below freezing at night here. Opening day of firearm season is this coming Wednesday. It's supposed to be 37 F (3 C) that morning with a high of 58 F (14 C). Warmer than I'd like. I'm sure I'll see some insects out there as well.

Thanks! I was in a ladder stand and it was just after 11am. I was just thinking that it was time to call it a day when I noticed movement in the woodlot across the way. He was walking across the power trail about 105 yds in front of me with his nose down near the ground. Dropped in his tracks with a neck shot.
