Am 26 years old and have been listening to this music for about 4 years now. Am blessed that God introduced me to this music. Singing along to Bill Monroe’s gospel music led and helped bring me to Christ. It’s quite funny to say, but Bill Monroe was one of the components that brought myself to Jesus Christ.

Not 1985...Baker left the Blue Grass Boys 10/12/1984. His onstage reunion with Monroe was in 1994 at Bean Blossom. 🎻

Thanks for posting this, Butch. I had some brain damage recently and I'm having to remember and re-learn a lot. This wonderful recording of a great, gracious and humble man helped me get back in the saddle, myself. Kenny Baker, the best, most tasteful old-time fiddler of all time!

Bill got that pentalcostal jump I’ve seen a thousand times at family gatherings with my grandparents. Now I’m the grandparent but still feel like a kid. It’s weird.
