Mine has the opposite problem it will idle but will not rev up
Someone knocked my mailbox down at my house that I haven’t even moved into yet so I’m thinking of going this route to keep it from happening again
Nice video, thank you.
U r my go to mechanic for my bobcat..thx
Do the roll up doors keep water out well or does the bottom allow water to sit and/or come inside the container?
Awesome vehicle, you'll love it! 🤓👍
Did you ever get 4x4 to work
Hope it fixes mine it dosnt idle
Matter of time before you fry the invertor welder. You need the largest generator like 12000 wattt or more and invertor style or very low thd generator. By the time you are set up properly you might as well by a used bobcat. Ever;ast says to use 9000 watt for powerarc 200. I say get a 12000 watt with low thd so no dirty power if you go that route. I fried a everlast power arc 200 doing the generator set up improperly. You can fry an undersized generator fairly quickly by constant surges like when you strike an arc,
I just bought this same welder a month ago , 4,000 hrs for 300dollars, cant get to it yet , im having my left shoulder replaced , work injury, so itll be a little while till i get to it , its over 9,000 $ for a new one so ill so how it goes , ill be following your videos to see how you make out

It's called a, "moment connection" full penn. Weld, V- bevel top and bottom flange, 1/8th gap with a backup bar, rathole the webb, so your backup bar fits flush under the top and botton flange, with enough room to carry your weld completly through on the lower flange, ( NO start stops in the webb plain, carry through) Virticle on the webb, grind flush an scab over with a weld all around! CWI Two Thumbs Up!
Superglue and ductape.
And baling wire for added strength
I just connect steel, so I have no expertise in this field. Commenting to say your accent is strange to me. I'm from northern England with Irish family. You sound like a bit of a mix with a yanky twang. Are you far north east coast in USA /Canada?
I have a 20" beam for a ridge beam in my shop. Cut out a v or fishmouth so I ended up with a long diamond shaped piece to weld in . Been there for 35 years
Cut out a good length of the center on 1 and keep top and bottom with the other just the center or vertical
Bevel and straight join with a 15 mm plate either side with 10 bolts
Do a staggered joint like you drew except cut along the internal corner straight across and along the internal corner again making the overlap 1.5 times the beam height so 24 inches.
I would but weld them together ,obviously vee the joints and fish plate the web on both sides with a diamond shape that has large radius corners. You never want sharp points on a fish plate. Flex cracks are always in straight lines the circles stop that. Just look at a some heavy equipment that have fish plates like loaders and excavators and you will see what I mean.
If they gotta be super strong . Id L them like you drew with your soap stone ! Then plate them . I wouldn't weaken it by putting holes for bolts in it . Engineers wont go along with splicing period ! Had a guy cut a cpl beams 5' short 20 years ago . Engineer said NO splice ! Had to eat it . 3200 bucks ! A straight line is a shear point ! Take it fr what its worth . Smoke break
90 degree cut bevel & weld. Weld plates on both sides. Also add some bolts through the plates for extra insurance.
Weld together then fish plate both sides.
Hey Noah, I would do the halfway thing that you drew. Either that or make V cut to the right or left. Kinda like a fishmouth thing. Great hearing from you. How is everything?
Hey thanks John things been good I’m hoping to get back into posting content I miss doing it
Hey Noah, clean everything up leave a small gap burning, some good dual shield from one side, then clean it up with a grinder on the backside until you’re into the fresh weld and then burn it in on the dual shield from the other side. Same thing with the flanges. If you get a good full penetration weld in the wedding and on the flanges, you don’t need to put any plates on it. That’s how I have done them anyway. Just my two cents worth.
I used to have a 2002 Volkswagen bug tdi. The thing still ran when I got rid of it. I just let them tow it away. I didn’t have anywhere to keep it in an apartment complex at the time I wish I had hung onto it that was a good little engine. I think I got 300 bucks for it.😖
I made 2300 bucks off of the stairs that you gave me advice on five stairs 2300. I had to do the concrete though.
Check the timing belt on that engine. Make sure it’s not dry rotted. It’s an interference engine. It will kill itself if that breaks and they do break.
Trust me on this!! Change timing belt! They’re notorious for failing. I’ve had a cpl in cars
Hey Mount the pump down in the box it sits on
It's called a counter balance valve to over come it to go on way or the other you have to have more pressure than what's in the valve to overcome it
In texas the bobcat 70 threw 2010 was the king , on every mechanic service truck from the wild cat 175 amps & affordable to the big 18-23k like big blue that had battery jump and air compressor and ran on diesel and could support 3 welders at the same time
🫡Great work Sir
Great job, but its hard to understand what you are saying.
No need for the second part of your comment
Damn bubba that's slick. Good job man. 🤙
Nice.... But why not show the dimensions or how you built it?
Good info man!
If you bought this 7 months ago, you’ve probably already figured this out but you’re definitely going to have to replace the main circuit board. Possibly both boards. I’ve had three of these and my original at about 6500 hrs would make AC power just fine but wouldn’t weld. I ended up replacing both boards. Problem is, you’re going to put three times as much in it as you paid for it by the time you get it welding, put the correct lift pump on it and replace the digital readouts. Hate to say it but it looks like you bought junk and that’s exactly what you got. Sorry.
Awesome video! Do you recall the roll up door size? I'm getting delivered a 40' container and I want to cut and install a roll up door on the end opposite the swing out doors. Mine will be a standard height container. The rollup door I'm looking at needs 15" minimum head clearance. The door itself is 7' tall. My container inside height is 7' 10". Thanks
Thanks and I believe these doors where 6x8 6 tall 8 wide don’t qui me but I think you can get a custom sized door as well if needed
Thanks for the reply! I'm trying to keep the costs down and get a standard size. I think if I go with a standard 6' wide x 7' tall door I can just cut 6" of the bottoms of the side tracks and the excess door will just stay on the drum. @@noahswelding6836
Getting it that hot probably messed up the factory heat treatment.
Oh yeah! What is it going to happen?
@@manuelpiston only time will tell.
I’m not worried about the heat treat because it’s only purpose of it is for the output speed sensor to read off of
Having same issue but mine will not boom down any idea's?
Hey if it’s not going down then your probably not getting enough presser to your counter balance valve to release the pressure
Hey Noah - Where did you buy the replacement solenoid? Thanks!
Awesome Job!! I've R&R a set of roll up doors but have never installed them in a container before so this is good to know moving forward. I can't recall seeing another video for this either so great job. 🇺🇸 On this fourth of July we recognize it's the diligence, ingenuity and hard work of folks just like you that keep this country free. 🇺🇸
Super cool work but would it not have been easier to use a plasma cutter to cut through the sides. In addition to everything I was working on a 24 volt plasma cutter and it turned out well but I do not know how to fund it. I suppose I could do a kickstarter or something. I am pretty sure that a significant number of welders would love to have a battery powered plasma cutter. With enough money on research I am sure I could get it down to 12 volts. Let me know what you think. Maybe I will start a kickstarter or something. Thanks my friend. Keep up the great videos.
Hey Noah!! How are you doing my friend? I haven't seen you or heard from you in a while. I am getting really close to starting my UA-cam channel. I am just finishing up a Garden tractor for a friend that I am trading for a 1983 Harley. After that is done, I am starting a build on a 1928 Morgan Aero GN Special. I am really excited. You have been a n inspiration for me to start putting videos together. SO is this your container? Is this a new shop???
Hey thanks for reaching out. That would be awesome starting your own channel. It may have been easier to use a plasma cutter but I feel like there’s less clean up with a cut off wheel. There’s no right or wrong way to do it but I find this works well for me.
@@noahswelding6836 That's as good a reason as any. Very cool. glad you are doing well.
I just change the spark plugs, oil filter, oil, fuel filter now my machine goes to idle then on it's own goes to full throttle and back and forth what did I do wrong?
Showing the world that the profitable jobs are more important than what you're driving. You're still in the game with that rental. Bravo!
Like seeing the crane come into action. Looks like it was the MVP on this job aside from the welder. Bravo!
Hey Man I’ve been watching your videos lately and I just want to say what keeps me watching is how humble you are, keep up the good work and God bless
👍
Air bags and load range E tires. I used my Ram 1500 for my diesel repair side business for about a year. Bags and tires made all the difference.
Tried to get you do do the same one for me never got a call back.
