The narrator reminisces upon a girl he met on the beach walk, and how she would manipulate and cheat on him with (presumably) the postman, leeching off his kindness.

Tamaryn Brown melds genres to create these beautiful songs, such as dream pop, shoegaze, post-punk, gothic rock, synth-pop and electronic.

Here, the band is riffing on the “American Dream” In the 50’s an image of the perfect american suburban lifestyle started to emerge, a man and a wife living in a nice big house with white picket fence and 2 kids being the trope.

The letters replicates the buzzed wandering and self-contemplation after a night out. Complete with rolling around on your floor at home and feeling dramatic on the subway escalator. We see a relationship that appears to have come to an end and how the night plays out for both parties. Paired with the self-deprecating hook “I know I wont be remembered well” we see torn between caring for something dear she’s lost, while also feeling at peace that if it’s meant to come back to her, it will. She acknowledges the come down, the loss of glamour at the end of the night, but rather than sulking in her loneliness, she knows the she will never let herself down. A sad, but strong sentiment.

Flowers on the side of the road refers to the memorial of a lost one either killed in a car accident or hit by a car, the lover of this lost one sees it as a place to rest with his/her lost one. Their lover is still grieving the death of the person who perished in the car accident referred to in the first two lines and would be drunk while they are intimate in bed with the protagonist Despite this, the protagonist of the song is still deeply in love with the person who is grieving, even if it is unrequited and the person still mourns the death of their former lover. The girl that is the focus of the song lost her previous partner from a car crash and she mourns for him.

The narrator of this song is too scared to text this person when they’re sober. alcohol is what will help with them being able to talk. while most people would text someone they like and ask them for sex when they’re drunk, the narrator just wants to take them on a date, showing that there’s genuine romanticinterest in the subject of this song. They’re “too nice for them”. they’ll wait until they have enough courage to make the first move, which’ll most likely involve a lot of alcohol.

Ethan and Pino formed an acoustic guitar duo inspired by Neil Young and Leonard Cohen. According to former Vogue editor Gloria Schiff, "Edie Sedgwick was identified in the society columns with the drug-taking scene and at that time there was a certain apprehension about being involved into that world. People were terrified of it. On the night of November 15, Ella Sedgwick attended a fashion show at the Santa Barbara Museum and after-party, where she was verbally attacked by a drunk attendee who called her a heroin addict. Sedgwick telephoned her husband to tell her what had happened, after which Post went to the party and took her wife to her apartment. Once there, Post gave his medication to his wife and they both fell asleep. When Post woke up the next morning, Edie was dead. The death was classified by the investigating judge as "indeterminate / accident / suicide". Edie Sedgwick was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in the small Californian town of Ballard.
