In 79, I was knee deep in Ska. Watching TOTP, when this android looking guy comes on and it starts..(synth)yuyuyuyu dah na na nah "here in my car..." I was blown away! it was a pivotal moment for me. That sound...the way he moved and almost avoided the camera. This began a life long love of synthesizers and a fan for life of Mr Numan here. Only after 45 years did I see him live last year at Norwich. Absolutely Amazing! So if Gary is going to talk about how others changed his life, then I credit him with changing mine. At the end of the show, being a synth nut, I wanted a picture of his Minimoog, and during the roadie dismantling, he lifted it down and let me touch it. Bless you roadie, you absolutely gave me something very special. Gary is so genuine and honest. He won't read this, but thank you Gary.

Thanks for posting, color! I had a dream about Layne some months ago. He was just there to comfort me. It worked so well I became obsessed with needing to know everything about him. I've always been a fan but just casual. I was in his presence at Lollapalooza 93, but I don't remember 😢.

Weird I saw them at the Horden , would have to be this year but I don’t remember his hair being this short. They were supported by SST who blew them off the stage , bad pairing. They sounded really lethargic, made a joke about vomitihg and fixing half way through. I didn’t get it. When I watch footage of them on YT they seem 1000% on in every gig. I still listen and love their music to this day. Maybe it was because the followed SST I d k Wish I could see them again

Thank you for doing this! Never seen this version before. I like hearing Layne`s thoughts on various songs and artists. The more I learn about him, the more I appreciate his talent and creativeness. And, he just comes across as a truly sweet person. God, I would have loved to have known him! Interestingly, he looks plump and healthy here as he was relatively clean while on that tour. Sadly just a few months after arriving back home in Seattle, he began using heavily again. You can see the STARK difference in his appearance as he attended the Hemp and Pain in the ASS Fest, August 26th 1994 in Seattle -- which was 4 days after he turned 27. He is a beautiful man, inside and out. RIP Legend
