I’ll be honest, you might have horses, you might be able to rope, but what’s with all this rap/hip hop beats and rap/pop country music? A REAL, TRUE COWBOY should be goin AGAINST the societal norms. Everybody listens to rap/hip cause it makes them feel cool, hard, gangsta. Rap/hip hop is the CITY culture while the cowboy culture is the COUNTRY culture. They don’t mix. The country culture has always been about not only the cowboy lifestyle, but about respect, dignity, morals. Women dressed classy and had dignity, but now the rap/hip hop culture has been mixed in, girls are twerkin in their daisy dukes. Men always said yes ma’am, yes sir, pardon me, held the doors open for people. Let the ladies take their seat if they’re forced to stand. Country men don’t even do any of those things today. Why is that? Because everybody wants to feel superior, cool, tough in the eyes of everybody else, and bein a “nice guy” don’t make them feel that way. Cowboys are supposed to DEFEND TRADITION, not encourage and support the destruction of it…..
