Hey! I'm a little late!!! But Listen, I'm not sure whether you'll see this or not, but read this comment I know it's long but trust me if you're a real 2010s kid you'll love! Oh my gosh! All the joy I had playing Minecraft with my cousins when we were kids is insane. We used to have a lot of party's at my house growing up and I remember being a kid when the Jasmine flowers were out and there was that summer smell in the air along with my moms BBQ chicken,Carne Asada,beans Horchata,Jamaica,fresh pastas,Fruits with tajin and nachos filling the air too! As the sun would begin to set. All my friends and cousins would be over and we'd play hide and seek till 9:00pm and then we'd all ask to go to my Aunt's house and spend the night when we'd get there with our hands and mouths sticky from candy and cake we'd all rush to her karaoke machine and sing the night away of course we'd sing the og bangers such as "Dont mine at night" and all that good stuff and once we were done with that....that moment......right there.....was when we got down to business we'd shower get our Pajamas on, light candles for a calm feeling! Sit in a circle and turn the xbox 360 on. We'd spend hours upon hours upon hours trying to find herobrine. We'd eventually all fall asleep on the floor in the living room with the Minecraft music playing in the background. I was always the last to fall asleep. I would play and play until my little fingers couldn't move anymore. And I'd drift off to sleep. Anyway, sorry for that little insight into my childhood, but I feel that is important for this next part. Only one of my cousins plays minecraft anymore along with me, but even she doesn't feel the sadness of losing the past as I do. All my other cousins have become those people who say "Minecrafts for nerds and weird kids," but I stand firm with believing minecraft is to be enjoyed by all people!!! Kids nowadays may not get to experience what we did as the kids who bought the game when it first came out, so be glad you got to if you did! Thank you because this was the first time I'd ever felt understood and I'm so glad to see the Minecraft community is alive and strong but I fear for the future as it seems people are losing the love for Minecraft that was once so important and special in our lives. I hope Minecraft Love doesn't die in the hearts of people as it did in my dear cousins' hearts. The early 2010s was a time period I feel BLESSED! NOT LUCKY! BLESSED!!!! To have grown up in. It was the very foundation of my childhood. The nights me and my brother would stay up and watch Adventure Time and Regular Show are memories that will last forever. I used to be best friends with my neighbors kids and they had a giant rock in their front yard and then and i remember one night I went to their house late at night and our parents were sleeping and I had recently gotten a Finn the human in his pajamas plushie and I wanted to show him we laid down on the rock and talked about the Adventure time. It was in the summer and the rock was still warm from the summer heat that day. Another thing I would often do is I used to go to my cousins house and all my other cousins would come over. I'm talking like A LOT of cousins! And we'd all sing "Last Friday Night" by Katy Perry! At 11:00pm and we'd all talk about the newest Minecraft theories! During the Early early 2000s me and my brothers would watch Drake and Josh Suite life with Zack and Cody. All that good stuff!!! During the mid years of the 2010s Lego ninjago had come out in 2011. I remember every night after school I'd play outside with my legos and my mom would call for me "Dinners ready!" I'd run inside and my mom would give me my chicken and rice. I'd sit on the couch and watch Lego Ninjago until I fell asleep. That same year Terraria came out and I had a blast playing it with my neighbors kids. Fnaf had come out in 2014 and it spread around my school like wildfire. All the theories and stuff scared me to no end it's also probably when Minecraft was at its highest point! Things like silly bands were on the rage. There was this one girl who everyone would go to bc we wanted our futures told. (It was one of those little paper thingies) I remember she told me I was gonna marry my crush! Now me and the girl I had a crush on at the time hate each other. Funny how times change isn't it? So many of my friends have moved away and forgotten about me. In the later years of the 2010s like 2015 and onward kinda didn't resonate with me. I was at a pretty low point at that time and things like fortnite never caught my attention. But that's when I had entered my theater stage! I dreamed of becoming an actor on Broadway and I'd spend the night at my cousin's house and we'd sing Hamilton all night long (Seriously). After that came a point in my life where I was the happiest I had ever been! I had friends was in Choir had a lot of singing opportunities and was looking forward to the future. Now I often go back to my old Elementary school and think “This is where it all began……This is where my 2010’s took place.” Kids nowadays who say “Oh yeah I’m a 2010’s kid ” and were born in 2014………uh NO! You're not a 2010’s kid you were crawling around when the 2010’s was at its best so you don’t know what you’re talking about. I understand that yes you are a 2010’s kid but you didn’t live to see the actual decade of the 2010’s start and I don’t think you felt the same sadness that we (“we” being the people who were born in the early 2000’s) experienced realizing that time is moving faster as we get older and that the only direction we’re going from the 2010’s is away and it’s not going to change at all. The 2010’s are something that only lasts in our memories and documentations of it. It’s not something we can go back to. SOOOOO! If you grew up in the 2010’s and loved it like I did you should forever count that as a blessing. Because hearing kids now who are saying “I’m A TwEnTy-TeN’s KiD!” again when they were born in the middle of it happening is a curse and it’s annoying. You're not a twenty-tens kid, you're someone who was born in the middle of something great, not someone like the US who were born in the early 2000’s who got to experience it to the FULLEST to the MAX! I’m not trying to be mean or dismiss anyone who was born mid 2010’s but just understand how annoying some of us who really did experience it find it when you’re trying to relate with us. Like Dude, what happened to this era?!?!?!? where has the time gone? Im literally on the verge of tears from the absolute fun me and my friends and cousins had just flippin' out at parties and and getting all crazy and just living life and not caring!!! In the 2010s Almost every Friday Id be like "Hey Mom imma head to (either my friends or my cousins) house she be like "Alright be good and dont stay up late" Then when I showed up wed invite friends and some.of my cousins over and just get stupid all night wed just party until we couldnt go anymore. Id usually crash at like 3:00am/4:00am. Passing out on the floor while hearing the loud music and laughter is un explainable! If time machines ever get invented at some point in the future and I go missing yall already know, I went back to the 2010s! And let me tell y'all something.... IT'S GONNA BE A BLACKED OUT BLUR BUT ITS GONNA RULE!!!! DAMN!!!! (OG Katy Perry fans will know the reference I put above!) P.s. Thanks for making me feel understood again! And bringing back so many wonderful memories!!!!!
