This masterpiece couldn't have come in a more perfect time in my life. From a man who lives life as it happens, living in a dream, to a woman who is longing for a place to call home.
The last year wasn't easy, I lost a lot of friends, time and parts of myself. Every passing day was the same as the last, and I couldn't feel more terrified of feeling like I'm wasting my life. I couldn't feel more trapped inside a body and mind that wasn't capable of functioning, trapped with a heart full of desires and dreams, but not strong enough to act upon them. I can say that this past year I didn't felt alive at all, but I also didn't feel the need to do anything about it. I was lost, drained, hopeless and empty.
"You're gonna carry that weight..."
This year, I'm not gonna forget about what I lived last year, I'm gonna carry that memories and heaviness of how empty my life was, so I can motivate myself to make my days better, to live according to my dreams and ideals, to finally enjoy this life I was given.
I'm going to challenge myself to open my heart, as difficult as it sounds, as terrifying as it may seem, I'm going to try. I can no longer live a life where I feel like I'm not present. I can no longer live my days as if I'm already done with everything I'm supposed to achieve in life. Even if I have to do it alone, I'm going to finally start to feel like I'm alive. I'm gonna drink that coffee in the balcony, I'm gonna dance that song, I'm gonna talk to that boy, I'm gonna get outta bed.
Is up to you to make your life beautiful, as life is already full of pain and darkness, is up to you to find the light and beauty hidden within it. I hope you guys have a great year, full of hope, love, smiles, and stars.
