Welcome to JR Central's official UA-cam channel!
We operate the Tokaido Shinkansen, which connects Japan's principle metropolitan areas of Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.
Also, a network of 12 conventional line services have played a huge role in the development of regional economy, mainly around Nagoya and Shizuoka areas.
The Shinkansen, which started its service in 1964, was the world's first high-speed railroad, reaching speeds of over 200 km/h. It drastically expanded human interaction and greatly contributed to Japan's economic growth.
Now, we are steadily constructing the Chuo Shinkansen, using the Superconducting Maglev system. We are striving to re-create the dramatic lifestyle changes again in Japan, like as the Shinkansen once brought about.
In order to fulfill our philosophy of "Contribute to the development of Japan's main transportation artery and social infrastructure", we continue to refine our transportation services, with a sense of pride and mission in mind.

Nice video but you didn't cover from where the rolling stock gets its power from?
Your website is useless and awful, you can't even accept American visa credit cards.
I left it in Japan, as taking such an important piece of infrastructure back home with me would be a very rude and inconsiderate thing to do.
新幹線🚅は日本🇯🇵が誇る乗り物です。

It’s Finger Licking’ Good
Important Question: Does the electromagnets in the propulsion coils have iron core inside to increase force, I guess that powerful permanent magnets on the train will stick to the side of the track which contains iron core when the train is at rest right? How do they prevent that from happening? That does not make any sense.

hi
This is one of the easiest to understand videos on the subject that doesn't gloss over the details but goes into depth.
This video is absolutely fascinating! I love learning about engineering and how the chuo Shinkansen uses superconductors and guidance magnets! Please make more videos explaining the many technologies used in the Chuo Shinkansen.
