GSXR 600 repaint after I crashed at brands hatch
Just an question My mother has ford focus mk2 1.6 petrol 2011 model The garage cut the lock off were the grill is then I used an flat head to open the mane lock but now the mane lock has broken how can I get that to open I've got new full replacement coming from ebay is their a way I can take the frount grill off. The mane problem I carnt open the bonnet atall. Any one know how I can get round this to open it cheers
@@Ajoffroad2024 Sorry I’m not shaw but you can try putting the screwdriver into the main locking part a push in hard and turn anticlockwise
You have to push in really hard (especially on the clockwise turn i found) but this is great, thank you so much!
Seen your video an tryed that but dont work is there any other way i can try to get my bonnet open
That’s frustrating mate. That’s a beautiful focus you got there. Nothing you can do to keep the car even if they class it as a write off??
Id block the inlet and exhaust ports up with some rag if i were you just to keep any shite/cleaners out.
Does anyone know if the clockwise turn of the key activate a solenoid that allows the bonnet to fully release or is it just mechanical?
Does anyone know why this isn’t working for me I’m following the same steps but my Bonet still won’t release thanks
Q:!When you poke your screwdriver through the hole and into the mechanism , isn’t there a cover to the locking mechanism ??
@@garygardener4802 As you push it in it does engage the clip to open it
Absolute lad. Thanks for making this, saved me so much time and money
Thanks so much, someone had hit our car and it made the hood opening mechanism stop working. We are very thankful as now we were able to open the hood without taking the front pieces off. After trying many UA-cam videos this was the only one that worked.
I have a third party lock and I still can’t get in. The barrel looks to be just moving and not actually turning the lock…. And I’m out of coolant as it’s been leaking. To garage I go 😢
Thanks for this, really helpful video! Does it have to be a cross head or since you are just pushing it can be anything?
@@gianlucacorona6585 I just used the crosshead
Thanks from La Rochelle, France, that was very helpful!
Last friction plate wrong place
Where did you get the new catch from?
On EBay £18
You're doing a public service man! My st2 latch is numb, only opens half way mostly. I'm gonna keep a 500mm driver in the car now until I get it replaced 👊.
I've had this fail on me several times, replacing each time with a cheap Ebay Chinese piece of cr*p. They're useless breaking again after months. Go to a breaker and get a genuine Ford one. On a positive note, I believe the original engineer that designed this monstrosity was taken out & shot - every cloud, eh? 🤣
Wasn't last Saturday?

@@therideout1424 I saw the news
Ive tried this but the barell still spins without catching. Any idea?
When I pushed it in I made shaw it’s in the center and push hard If this don’t work your going to need to takeoff the grill
I wish I came across this before trying the other method
Thank you sooo much. You save a major hassle for me. Just to be clear, yoi must use cross/pointing head screwdriver like in the video. Thx again!
👍 and yes I did use that one
Honestly I don’t understand why ford can’t just make cars like normal people. Other cars has a latch that you’ll pull in the car this is just horrible.
Just idiot engineering
The anti tamper latch system they used on these was new tech at the time and is known to be a bad design, it’s quite a common issue
Push down on bonnet, turn key, your welcome 🤗
You're brilliant. The only one who knows what to do. All others on UA-cam don't know how locks work and damage everything on a complicated way. Saved my live. Needed to refill oil urgently. Thank you so much👍👍👍
Is this zetec madel,,,
It’s the ST but should be the same
Nice one chum:)) 👍
Hi mate , I have just replaced clutch in mine er6n 2013 exactly as yours , put everything together and had to adjust clutch cable as it was too loose , had to go max by the clutch lever and also by the engine other wise would able to put into gears any idea why there’s so much gap ? Thanks
Hi they should half and half Check that you have routed the cable the right way and in all cable stops And that your cable maybe too worn out and will a new one that’s not stretched
@@therideout1424 does the pin in the middle should be loosed that you can pull out with the fingers ? The pin inside the basket which engaging the clutch once pressing lever clutch
Great idea thank you
That's brilliant, thank you 👍
Thanks

I have the same problem with my Ford Mondeo 2006? Do you think it is the same with the Ford Mondeo 2006
Hi I believe it will if it’s the mk2
Gem! Well done mate👍
Could you tell me roughly how much the kit is to replace. Thanks
I got it from EBay £18
@@therideout1424 thanks
Lifesaver! Thanks man, mine decided not to open this morning what an absolute joke of a design typical ford plastic shite, one bit of my st that I have always hated!
fantastic what a great video perfect sir thank you for your time saved me messing
Mate, thanks for this, all others telling us to smash things off with a hammer, then you come along - legend.
Man, you are my Hero.
I must replcae the kit on my 650 Versys. Pretty much the same setup as your ER6. Im on 100000km now so I think its about time. I havent replaced a clutch kit since I was in college so thanks for the video.
Are you sure was not Marc Marquez behind you 😅😅😅
What were those aluminum spacers for? And did you end up using the washers?
Hi yer I used all the bits The spacers go in side the bobbins with the washer for support
@@therideout1424does the side with the bracket use the smaller spacer?
One more question bro, does the longest bolt go into the mount with the adapter plate on the left side?
@@joecastro23 hi yer it did

Great rundown mate, could you please let me know the torque settings as I'm struggling to get details online without buying a manual. Cheers mate from Australia
nice, can you post part numbers for friction/steel plates?
Hi thanks for watching hope you like and subscribe There are 7 Friction Plates 6 Steel Plates If your the the uk you can buy the complete kit from WEMOTO.COM I USE THEM FOR ALL MY PARTS
Replaced the clutch plates and springs on a versys 650 '10 (EBC) , no matter what I do- it's hard to shift gears, no neutral after first gear engagement. The freeplay is ok on the lever and near the clutch plate..... EBC springs are 2mm bigger than genuine ones... could this be the cause??
Hi yer it maybe the problem but also the year of the bike as to get bit for mine I order 07 parts even though my bike is 09 I found it out when parts did not fit
Cuantos km tenías la moto
Hi thanks for watching it had 24000 miles and way slipping Hola gracias por verlo tenia 24000 millas y estaba bebiendo
So...no torque settings for clutch bolts? Did you drain the engine oil then refill? I would have thought that new clutch into old oil wasn't a great idea (filings and clutch plate debris etc). You didn't explain about clutch adjustment or if you intended to replace the cable at the same time. I only ask because these are all things I ensure I do when I replace a clutch. Good video..I hope you didn't mind my comments.
It should be noted, make sure you soak the new friction plates in oil for a MINIMUN of 12 hours. Preferably 24-28 hours. Before installing them on the bike.
Hey dude thanks for running me through my cbt the other day.. theory booked Tuesday 👌
Really good views mate get more videos up!
