Pin stripe tape is a good idea, I was thinking marker and straight edge but small imperfections are gonna be very relevant here. You should definitely see if you can get a referral link though, might as well make a few bucks from a good idea.

I have a dent in the same location on my civic. Did you remove the liner inside? I couldn't pit my hand, and liner removal seemed to be complicated.
