I agree. My first car was a new 68 Chevelle, loved it. However, I replaced it with a 70 Nova SS, 396. Replaced engine with a bored and printed punched out 427 with full race everything. Beefed up the suspension, ladder bars, etc. Was running around 650 hp, in the low 10s at around 135mph. So don't tell me that you should not put more than 200 hp in a Nova. 🙂

@@BonafideAutoAppraisal You can't deny its an 8.2" ring gear rear end and the video showed it only layer a single tire spin patch. You can church it up all you want but some of us trolls know better.

​@@BonafideAutoAppraisalIt also has a quick fuel QFT 600cfm carburetor on it. There is no secondary metering block on it which proves it's a vacuum secondary street carb that can not support "482" hp. I can pick the car apart more if you'd like?

You're right, that same average also includes four doors, projects, and six cylinders. Not exactly apples. The seller will entertain all reasonable cash offers.

You can't build the car for $35K

No power steering, It has a new Borgeson steering box though. It's nice and tight, has no slop, and is actually pretty easy to steer.

The original buyer could afford a hundred dollars extra for power steering

You can pound a well set up ten bolt. Especially on those tires

Yeah, the 10 bolt can handle the power in this car with the gear set that's in it. If you were to switch to a 4.10 gear ratio and use slicks, then you might want to consider upgrading to a 12-bolt rear end. However, I feel comfortable racing this car with its current gear ratio and 10-bolt rear end, even if I were to use slicks.

It certainly doesn't sound like a sleeper. It is kind of an unassuming color though!
