has 1983 rear fenders on it and a ytm225 dx headlight shroud but the thumb throttle looks like a 80-81 so probably either a 81 or a 1980 seems to have decent compression

hi there if you dont mine me asking what do you do buy broken down motorcycle and pinball machines and fix them and sell them . I'm here for pinball machine right now I'm building a virtual pinball machine with a 42" playing field screen and it haves exciters,solenoids i bet it not easy fixing real pinball machine there a lot of stuff in backglass but anyways that is really nice pinball machine you have there . i played that game in virtual it can be pretty hard game

I’m looking hard for one. I have an 85 VMax dark red metallic with 12K original miles. Looks n runs like new. I installed a 170 rear tire instead of the 150 stock. I do all mechanical work myself and have about$7K into the bike at this point. It is production number 2,131 off the line. A Japanese Yamaha mechanic told me every VMax produced under the first 2,500 were balls to the wall. After 2,500 Produced insurance companies made Yamaha tune them down. California and European models don’t even have V-Boost!!

I've got one of these myself. There's a few quirks wrong with mine. I hardly ever play with it. Everytime i see one on Ebay...it doesn't sell that well...usually between $600-800. I guess the older, the less its worth.
