Gruesome Everett, Tales of Untimely Death
Random killings. Tragic accidents. Political gunfights. Family feuds that turned violent. A botched execution. Watch local historian Gene Fosheim share these true stories of murder and violence from Everett’s early days, and show you where they happened. Maybe you live next to one of these haunted places...

My great-grandfather, Joseph Irving was a colorful character from that era. Loved hearing these stories!
My youngest daughter was born at Everett General hospital. We lived there and in Marysville during my time as a worker for Boeing. 1970
Just found your video on UA-cam, thanks so much for a great history of Everett. Yeah, we climbed Rucker's tomb in 1971, it eas creepy, someone had pried the door open. We were respectful enough (and scared) to not go inside!
Love to hear the history of everett ....need more please 🙏
Unfortunately, this ENTIRE area has gone to complete SHIT!!! The people in these graves would be rolling around in disgust if they only knew what would happen here. Way too many people here now, most of whom are absolutely rotten, nasty little arrogant ass wipes. They've ruined the once pleasant city of Everett!
Please make more videos, Gene!!
Thanks so much Heather. Much appreciated. Hopefully more to come.
Hello! Not sure if questions are answered in the comment section, but thought I would try, and hopefully someone can provide some guidance 😊 I love to walk around Evergreen and look at all of the gravesites and wonder who the people buried there were, and what their lives were like. I took my kids to the new Emma Yule park today, and after reading the plaque about her, I decided to find her site at the cemetery. I had the privilege of meeting one of the groundskeepers, John, and after showing me where Ms. Yules grave was, he told me a few of the stories and recommended I check out the tours given a couple times a year… I was happy to find this video!! Anyways… my question is, does anyone know the schools here in Everett where Ms. Yule worked? I did a quick search on her, and it only says that she worked at “some schools”, and doesn’t give the names. Anywhoo, lovely video! Thank you for posting it!
Yikes, isn't Everett bad enough without the videos you've been posting?
@@HeatherB81 check your self-righteousness Heather, ain't no one hurt but you, and who are you anyway? He says it himself in the beginning Everett was always "a terrible place to live", and this video highlights the worst of it. A normal guy would reply with a "haha ikr". Lighten up! OR ELSE
Heather deleted lololol
@@inthesameboat I’m sorry, Zach, I made a mistake with the comment I made. I wish I could take it back… that’s why I deleted it. I completely misunderstood your original comment, and I was just trying to support the poster. Again, I apologize.
@@HeatherB81 it's all love
Curious… What are your plans for your passing when that sad day comes? Will you be buried with a marker, or cremated in an urn? Will we have a place of remembrance for you as you are doing for these folks in Everett?
Very well done kind sir. People don’t understand the relevance of our past. Whether it’s there, or anywhere. Those folks lived, loved, and died in a very different time than what we can imagine today. They paved the way for us all, and may they never be forgotten.
Hello new friend sending love and support from our channel to yours such a beautiful cemetery
What state
Seattle Area Washington state. Actually north of Seattle. A lot of people in Civil War era, came West.
Teddy Roosevelt came through Yakima as well, on his way to Seattle probably while campaigning.
What state
Great video! Have you visited Hollyrood Cemetery in Shoreline?
I plan on looking for your Evergreen Cemetery tour in 2022, loved what I learned from your tour in 2021!
My mother and sister are buried there. I wish I had known of this tour. Lovely to have the video.
My friend and I were on the tour today, 7/24/21 and are inspired to learn more. Thank you!!! Looking forward to a video tour of the middle and newest areas!
Love it!!!!!!
This is awesome. Thank you .
GREAT VIDEO!!! THANKS FOR SHARING
I’ve always been very fascinated with that white home on the lake, glad to know the name of the bothne house. It’s sad to watch it deteriorate as much as it has, if I were able to purchase that house, I would restore it back to its former glory.
How cool. And it has been going to hell ever since. Tragic.
Excellent!
Very good work. I always thought about the history of the lake. Now I know. Thanks.
Fantastic! Thank you
Thank You
