Ranking Every Judas Priest Album (w/ Invincible Shield)
Those are cool! 🤘🏻
@Riky_Jones Thanks brother!! I've gotten quite a bit more since this video, and will probably do an update again sometime after Christmas!
I think one and two were the best make ups out of all of them
@robertphillips5459 Those are both very iconic looks! The part 2 look in particular has only grown on me over time. I'll be dropping a ranking of all the Leatherface looks here really soon so stay tuned!
@@jacksonjones563 will do
W
I believe that album, which follows Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is perfect. It's as if they found their pocket even more on this one.
@33ordie They definitely got a lot more Progressive and experimental on this album which is absolutely in the album's favor. The song variety on this one is fantastic!!
A solid albumn. It showed rock didn't have time rely on loud guitars and screaming vocals. Cys great tenor. Rupert is arguably the most talented. Many of the songs are darker/melancholic, so they are an acquired taste. Definitely some genius minimalistic stuff.
@ericnastav It really is some genius art right here man! I love how dark yet hopeful a lot of their material can be!
Born Again is my favorite Black Sabbath album. Have always thought of the album as basically Ian Gillan on vocals with the rest of the original Black Sabbath lineup.🤘
@SuperStrik9 Love hearing that brother and really dig the profile pick!! This album has a certain grit and dirty feel to it that really none of the other Black Sabbath albums have. Definitely one of my all time favorites as well!
Excellent video thanks for ranking the entire franchise
@@ryanchandler3451 Absolutely brother!! Thanks for watching!! What's your favorite Hellraiser flick?
I love Hellraiser bloodline the best but love them all
@@ryanchandler3451 Bloodline is actually my girlfriend's favorite!! That one has just about been my favorite before!
You know it's really hard for me to pick absolute favorites but I'll just say my top picks in no particular order are Uniform of Youth, Into my own hands, Tangent Tears, Dont Slow Down, Black/White, Welcome to the Real World, and then followed up by the three hits ott rhe album that everyone has heard a million times.
@LichaelMewis Man Tangent Tears is such a catchy track!! A top tier track out of their entire discography for sure!!
Dude totally agree. I thought they only had 3 good songs as I never listed to their discography. Holly cow was I blown away. They are my new favorite band now. I like literally every song on all three original albums. Pull I don't care for quite as much because it's missing their guitar wizard Steve Farris. In any case I am happy someone is out there trying to inform others of this amazing music. I love finding gems like this.
It's a real shame that they broke up after Go On, which was their best album imo. And it's a real shame they didn't get the credit they deserved especially from Go On. I feel like they should have tried one more album before calling it quits. Finally, all original band members are still alive and I would love to see a reunion tour.
@LichaelMewis Love that you became a fan dude!! They are truly a hidden gem of a band that I wish got more attention. All we can do is cross our fingers that they get back together at some point, but I honestly doubt they will
@@jacksonjones563 agreed but we can hope. BTW, I think I'll Let You drive is really good.
Yeah that one isnt one of my favs, but is still solid which is a testament to how good this album is! @LichaelMewis
I Watched AEW Full Gear 2021 Live And It Was Awesome!
That's sick man!! It was a hell of a show! Punk Vs. Kingston felt like a straight up shoot!
When will you review “Toxicity” and “The Sickness”?
@angelicx1610 I have many bands planned ahead of them man, but I'm sure at some point I'll review their discographies
Sick as bro
@muzdogGTA Thanks brother!!

Are you going to Do a series for Triumph's discography at any time?
@@huntercleveland7950 You know I actually haven't ever really listened to Triumph, but I'm aware of who they are. I definitely need to dig into them!
@@jacksonjones563 They're pretty good
cool review man! Regurgitation of Giblets has gotta be my fav track on this one. That's totally sick how you got a first pressing with the og art, I'm trying to find one with the uncensored cover but they all seem expensive AF.
@okthisisepic6273 Thanks man! That's definitely a top Carcass track! This album was no doubt an expensive one man. Really all of the ones I have on original vinyl were expensive, but I think they were totally worth it! I think I paid anywhere from $100 - $140 for each of them.
Love this album, came out right around HS graduation. It was a big part of the coming years. There was a bonus track called Peace on Earth (do what you can) worth a listen.
@reversefulfillment9189 Very cool to hear! Youre very lucky to have grown up in a time when music like this was coming out and thriving! I've not heard that bonus track, but I'll definitely find it and jam to it!
I thought this year's money in the bank was good I know a lot of people are complaining about the Seth Rollins versus Damian match Drew McIntyre one the briefcase and almost cashed in on Damien but got screwed again by CM Punk
I've been seeing a lot of people complain about that too, but I honestly thought it was some pretty good storytelling and will beneficial to all of their storylines going forward
All I got to say is that Ethan page one the NXT Championship and everybody was shocked
That absolutely shocked me!! I loved how the finish was like Backlash 2007's Fatal 4 Way match!
Album cover is a throw back to reach the beach, even has the handcuff. Good to see you bro.
Oh wow I never noticed that!! That's super cool! Good to hear from you again man!
@jacksonjones563 Thanks for prompting me to revisit this great album. Did you ever check out XTC? Check out their tune Love at first sight off Black Sea album. Reminds me of Around the bend riff at double speed.
@@reversefulfillment9189 I actually haven't yet, but I'm going to listen to that track tonight as well as their first album and go on from there!
I totally see you dressing up as Jason this Halloween and just carrying a wild colored guitar around. Cool stuff dude.
@@huntercleveland7950 That'd be fun as hell haha!! Good hearing from you man!
@@jacksonjones563 Yeah, good to be tuning in again
When will you review Toxicity and The Sickness albums?
@@angelicx1610 I have quite a few bands that I have planned to review in front of them, but at some point I'm sure I'll get to them
@@jacksonjones563 No problem. Can’t wait for the reviews because you’ve never reviewed any nu metal
I spent the afternoon listening to this album, drinking wine, and cleaning my house. I had heard it growing up, but sort of passed it over. I think it might rival Reach the Beach.
@spencerholcomb1660 That sounds like an awesome time right there! It's one of those albums that I grow to love more every time I listen to it!
2 years late and only a few minutes in, but I can tell you there are no better Steve Vai reviews on youtube!
Man that really means a ton!! Thanks so much man, I'm always excited to meet another Steve Vai fan, and glad am glad you enjoyed it!
I’ve been listening to Steve’s whole discog since middle school (10 yrs ago) and I basically have all of it drilled in my head lol. Funny enough, the vocals in Oooo are actually Steve pitched up! 😂 He’s done that ever since he first started recording on tape; I believe he actually saw Zappa in the process of manipulating the tape speed in his studio, and started incorporating it in his own music. Little Green Men is the best representation of that, no doubt!
@onehitbarrel722 Wow very cool info man! That really makes sense especially since "Flex-Able" is so heavily Zappa inspired
Quintessence of the New Wave. Sounds great after 40 years! Actual lyrics
Yeah a lot of the 80s Synth Pop albums' production still holds up to this day!
I Really Enjoyed Clash At The Castle 🏰 2024 Especially With CM Punk Costing Drew Mclyntire The World Heavyweight Championship Match Against Damien Priest
Right?! The camera work revealing it was Punk was so good!!
Us Fixx fans gotta stick together, I subbed to your channel. 👍
Damn right we do! Thanks brother!!
Great Album!
This one is an all time great for me and an album that I think often gets overshadowed by "Reach The Beach"
@jacksonjones563 I can't pick one. I love them all. I'm glad to see someone younger carrying the Fixx torch.
The Fixx have never recorded a bad song. Some take a few listens.
That was definitely the case with this album for me. That really is the beauty of going back and revisiting albums they you may not like, you just might find yourself enjoying them!
@jacksonjones563 Have you explored Echo and the Bunnymen and XTC? They're some bands that I listened to as much as the Fixx that have amazing catalogs that never got the popularity they deserved.
@reversefulfillment9189 I freaking love Echo & The Bunnymen, but I haven't really delved into XTC. If they're anything like The Fixx and Echo & The Bunnymen then I'm sure I'll enjoy them!
@@jacksonjones563 You're in for a treat with XTC, they have their own style that changes over the years. From jilted punk to symphonic masterpieces. Andy is a brilliant lyricist, Colin a bass master and Dave Gregory is in a class of his own. Maybe start with English Settlement or Mummer, Oranges and Lemons, all their albums are Breathtaking. I think you'll dig it.
@@reversefulfillment9189 Very cool!! I'm excited to check them out!!
Great to hear your review. I'm a permanent Fixxture, loved them since 1982 age 15. Check out their live stuff. King Biscuit Flower Hour. Also their 2022 release Every 5 Seconds shows the Fixx never lost the magic. They're touring off and on, really hope they come to the PNW for a gig.
Always love meeting another Fixx fan!!! I'm really hoping that they come to the US soon as that'll be a show I can't miss!!
@jacksonjones563 Me too pal, They're playing on a few dates this year in Florida. Oct/November. Clearwater Ft Lauderdale. Tickets are reasonable, then they're part of some big bash in Cancun, a Gen X laundry list of bands. If I win the lottery I'm going. I'll let you know if I do.
@@reversefulfillment9189 I'd definitely go if I didn't already have plans to see Iron Maiden around that time
Really when you think about it Heaven and Hell Rainbow Rising and the rest are all Dio albums. They all have that Dio style of songwriting.
They absolutely do! Anything Dio touches he makes his awesome mark on!
The music video and radio promotions really piqued my interested in this band back in 1993 so I got the cassette. Great record, insane drumming and guitar work. I didn't even know that Steve and Terry were already established Zappa legends at the time. And I certainly didn't expect Devin to develop into a musical genius with such an impressive catalog of releases. Officially Sex and Religion is a Steve Vai album, but if you're familiar with Devin's eclectic body of work one could consider this his debut album as well. (It's certainly included in my collection) I've always been puzzled by the lukewarm critical reviews, but I suppose this album's not for everyone.
You know I actually haven't delved much into Devin's other work, but I obviously need to as he is a fantastic artist all around the board! It always baffled me how this album wasn't more popular as well as several of the tracks on here are insanely hooky!
I got into Nirvana's music sometime in 1993. It was either in January or September of that year. I got into their music at the end of their career. I was 15 years old at the time. I've been listening to their stuff almost every day since November 2022. I also wrote a review about this album, so listening to this analysis again, I'm tempted to find out how this one ranks in the history of Nirvana's discography. Thanks a lot for posting this!!
Thanks for commenting and giving your insight! It is always fascinating to hear from people who were there when bands were still active or in their prime! I'd love to read your review of this album!
@@jacksonjones563 for some reason the UA-cam algorithm doesn't allow link sharing but I will say that Lounge Act - oh my god how awesome that song is!
@csun2003 Lounge Act is on another level man! It is easily a Top 10 if not a Top 5 Nirvana song for me!
Invisible Shield Rules
Hell yeah it does!!
Demolition was horrible, Lost and Found was the only good song on it. Rocka Rolla would come in next to last, but the remaining 17 albums are so fucking awesome. I rank Sin After Sin first, Painkiller second. Tim Ripper Owens did great overall, especially on the 2-disc Live Meltdown Album.
Yeah Demolition is full of garbage for sure. It's very cool to hear Sin After Sin is your favorite! I find it to be supremely underrated as it hosts some of their best material to date!
The second half of the album is mostly stuff that has Dale Crover from the Melvins playing drums. Everything, other than Aneurysm, was from Nirvanas first studio session with Jack Endino , who’d later record Bleach, called the Dale Demo. prior to bleach and was basically Nirvana's first demos.
Oh wow I didn't know that!! Very cool they had The Melvins drummer on there!
@@jacksonjones563 if you ever need some Nirvana facts/info/secret songs etc. hmu. I’m happy to help. I’ve been listening to Nirvana since 1990 when I was 13. I got to see them twice which were amazing
Super ranking video. Nice to hear your opinion and yes, the last few Judas albums have been very good. I agee. My fave is PAINKILLER, and after that it would be hard to rank them, cool you could do it so well.
They definitely have a very colorful and exciting discography! These weren't easy to rank at all and I'm sure some are bound to change over time haha! I'd love to see you give their discography a ranking at some point! I also watched your top albums of rhe last decade and loved it by the way!
@@jacksonjones563 Super you watched my top albums of the last 10 years. Was not hard to make because i only had to check my number one of the videos i make each year were i show my favorite albums of each year but a Judas ranking would need a lot of time to make a serious and honest one like you did but in a future i will do for shore. I have made some ranking videos in the past but i need to be in a mood. But i will. Thanksssss
I Really Enjoyed WWE Backlash In France 🇫🇷 Especially With That Electric Crowd!😃
For real man that crowd was wild!!!! I think AJ Vs. Cody will be looked at as a classic in the future!
9.5/10 album
An amazing one for sure!! I'd personally give it the whole 10. Any particular song that is keeping it from the whole 10 for you?
I like the pictures of the old School horror Villains 🤟
Thanks brother!! These are super fun to take, and I plan on doing an update video for my collection on Saturday!! 🤘🤘
I still can't believe jinder Mahal won WWE championship on that night😮
Yeah it freaking blows my mind they did that, and they had him beat Randy Orton of all people lol! I do think Jinder had a great physique and could have been good, but his in ring work was awful, his promos were boring, and now he got released.
AEW Dynasty Was Awesome!
Ospreay Vs. Danielson might just be match of the year for me so far!!
I Really Enjoyed NXT Stand & Deliver 😊
Same here man! The main event was a little disappointing, but overall the show as solid!
Me parece un disco muy bueno, con grandes canciones como ram it down, heavy metal, love zone, blood Red skies,i,m a rocker etc.. Un disco de gran calidad infravalorado.
I absolutely agree with you Luis!! There are some hidden Judas Priest gems pn this album that get overlooked simply because people focus on their cover of "Johnny B Good" and how much they hate it.
Dude this is a cool album. I hated it at first then realized how experimental and groovy it is after a few spins… imo it’s better than ‘9’ and ‘into the unknown’ 🤘
Hell yeah man! I definitely liked this one on first listen, but it has grown on me more and more and subsequent listens! Very underrated album in Mercyful Fate's discography! 🤘🤘
I can see why you think In Utero is their best album. I actually wrote a review about this If you'd like to see it. This album has really grown on me since 2016. Here is my ranking of all the full length studio releases: 1. Bleach 2. In Utero 3. Incesticide 4. Nevermind
I'll definitely would love to see it man! I highly respect you putting Bleach as your number 1 as every once in a while it creeps its way up to mine. Great list my friend!
I agree with pretty much everything except the 3.5 for Gunther vs. Zayn.. I thought that was a great match for sure.
It was damn near a 4 for me, but just didn't quite make it
I think rca did not release this because it was so good that nobody would be buying albums for a while because this was so good so they where smart to not release it to make more money. This album is just fantastic period!
That may very well be the case! This album is an absolute gem that I wish more people knew about!
nice ranking man! i love the tcm franchise. there's 2 unofficial TCM movies too, one is called "butcher boys" which was written as a TCM movie by the co-writer of the og Kim Henkel. if you like Next generation it's worth checking out, cause it's alot like that type of vibe. and there's a guy in it that was clearly supposed to be leatherface named "amp head" lol. the pther unofficial TCM movie is unreleased but you can find the trailer on youtube, it was called "all american massacre" and it was a sequel about chop top. so bill mosely is back as chop top, and they got buckethead to play leatherface, and i heard it had a cameo from drayton the cook too. but it's probably never getting released which sucks. here goes my ranking for the tcm movies... 9. leatherface (2017) - just doesnt seem like a tcm movie, and the mystery part doesnt hold up on a second viewing 8. tcm :the beginning - i think it's ok, but not as good as the first remake in my opinion 7. part 3 - its ok, i like the R rated cut better than the unrated. 6. Next generation - maconnahey is hilarious 5. the 2003 remake - very good remake. great cast. 4. TCM 2022 (netflix) - actually really liked this one, kinda felt like a sequel to TC3D, or same type of tone 3. TC-3D - hilariously bad in some parts, very hot girls, and great chase scenes. plus the 3d thing is fun. 2. the original - love this movie, one of the best horror movies ever, and actually pretty funny too 1. TCM part 2 - absolutely love this one, just such a fun movie to me. love all the characters.
I'll definitely have to check those unofficial flicks and trailers out! Very cool and interesting ranking too man! I'm glad to see someone else out there who enjoys this latest one as I think it was a very fresh story for the franchise. I don't believe I've ever seen someone rank The Beginning so low, but I get where you're coming from with it being so similar to the original.
@@jacksonjones563 yeah man, the butcher boys movie is kinda cool, and the trailer for all american massacre is really cool too. i didn't mind "the beginning" but i thought it took itself a little too seriously. i like the TCM movies a little more on the goofy side. the only one in the franchise i dislike is the 2017 leatherface movie. other than that they go from decent to awesome for me
@TheTrashStash Yeah as much as I dislike Part 2, at least Leatherface felt like Leatherface unlike the movie actually titled "Leatherface" lol
9. Next generation 8. Leatherface 7. Netflix 6. Texas chainsaw 3d 5. Texas chainsaw massacre 3 4. Texas chainsaw massacre 2003 3. Texas chainsaw massacre 2 2. Texas chainsaw massacre the beginning 1. The original
Very cool seeing someone like part 2 so much. I've really tried to like it, but for whatever reason it just hasn't happened lol. I totally get why you put Next Generation at the bottom as it is definitely a wild shit show of a movie at face value
