Yes, and if you need to wash a load while eating in the dinner it’s $2 a load I believe. Parking lot needs so more, but it’s doable. The store area is nicely set up & quaint like a country general store.

@@TDubKong I drove tankers for Air Products. Worked as a team driver with my Ex. We made very good money, but team driving didn’t work out well for me (I didn’t get good quality sleep). Lots of good paying positions out there in tankers. Just know you’ll be exposed to weather conditions because you normally have to stay outside overlooking gauges, hoses, etc (depends what field you’re in). Good luck. Let me know when you graduate. Okay, I finally got my Go Pro going, but not sure how well the microphone works. Hoping it doesn’t pick up all the engine noise bc it’s on my windshield.

@@johnricker7064 I lived in Vegas for 5 yrs in the early 90s when it still had a bit of the old feel. It wasn’t populated like it is now. That heat and Arizona heat is a dry heat and nothing like humidity heat. I love the summer evenings in Vegas, the winds during the fall would hypnotize me. I just loved it there. I was there about a year ago and was traumatized by the growth and the rundown conditions it was in. I miss old Vegas.

I run according to my loads. If I’m given a small load without a load to follow and it’s only 350 miles. I can be finished in 7 hrs (including a bathroom break & mild traffic), but if I have a load waiting after I’m finished with the 350 mile load, I’ll keep going until I’m out of driving miles. You can take a 34 hr reset once you’ve reached your 70 hrs. You can run on recaps (that’s what I do for the first the week)

I only get fuel from TA or Loves. So, i don’t have points with other fuel stops and have to pay.

I’ve elected to stay east of Kansas City. I’m originally from California. I learned to drive the mountains in Montana because that was my first trucking terminal location. I was up and down Donners pass during the snow storms. Across the 70, 80 & 90 during the winters for a few years as well, California is a piece of cake, worked local in Southern California for 2 1/2 yrs. I just don’t like the traffic or the speed limit truckers are allowed to drive.

I try and avoid the excess starches from the pasta water. I rinse my pasta after boiling very well to remove it. In this case (being in a truck) I could only rinse once. Thanks for watching. Is this my dear friend Annette?

I love driving, so I am relaxed on the road, as long as there aren’t any road bullies, road construction or accidents. I like Volvos as well, but I prefer the older ones. They were roomier. I’ve had two Volvos with the dinette table. I’m 50/50 on them bc I prefer sleeping on the bottom. So much cooler & warmer. But I also like having that space/room the table gives you. I love to cook, so it would be great, but unfortunately this Volvo doesn’t have the table. Thank you so much for watching the detail in the video. 😊

@@tennesseetruckgirl8591 I was in the trucking industry for 46 years. Yup I pounded the hiways also. That’s how I feel when I get on the highway, a freedom.

I have the experience, but didn’t drive for over 2 yrs. The company I wanted to drive with has an insurance requirement of driving for one year within the last 2 yrs regardless of how many yrs experience you have. They pay actual miles and have good health insurance. So I have to wait a few more years. I think a lot of us females like bridges. I love their shapes, styles, sizes & colors. Sorry to hear about your wife. Does she go out with you on the road now?

​@@tennesseetruckgirl8591 I just follow truckers. Being an OTR trucker was my second choice of a career. My first was anything to do with aircraft. So I did aircraft maintenance with the U.S. Air Force and then full time with the Air National Guard. Did 42 years. Stay safe out there. Enjoying your videos.

@@michaeldavenport5034 Aircraft maintenance is a big responsibility. How do you feel about it now? Are things still ran efficiently & effectively as it was back in the day? The reason I ask is, I started driving a truck in late 2013. The old timers then complained & grumbled about is new drivings. Saying we weren’t real truck drivers. I totally understand what they’re saying. Even when I first started we had GPS on our phones or you could buy a Garmin or Rand McNally computer GPS and we had trucks with air suspension in our seats, on our trucks and trailers, and the automatics were becoming more popular, so I totally understood their gripe. So I’m wondering if it’s the same in the aircraft maintenance field?

Hi JY Moe The old bridge was beautiful. I love it, BUT it creaks and rattles . It’s so narrow. I was grateful another truck didn’t pass me from the opposite side. Nothing out of the ordinary happened during these three days shown in the video. I try and capture the bridges. I go through because I like them for some reason. And I record rest stops for my sister. I try not to complain about my loans or anything pertaining to work. So my videos might come across as being boring. It just depends what the person viewing it likes. But I do appreciate your comment and your support. 😊 Thanks You be safe as well.

I prefer rest stops as well. But if I need a shower, then I’ll stop before I go to rest stop or stop for the night there. Not sure if I’ve asked if you’re still a driver.

That’s my advice as well. The guy to replaced my electrical line, did a crappy job of putting all the lines back in order so they hook up accordingly to the trailer and to the back of my tractor when not used. Been doing this long enough to know when something isn’t working properly and I knew the lines weren’t properly situated when I hooked up to a trailer. The yard dogs are super turbo on their premises. Act as if no one else exists. Lol. But I’ve ran into some really good guys and gals. Very helpful. Thank you so much Miss Eva. I don’t know why, but I just couldn’t edit. It was like I was hitting a wall. I have enough clips for about three videos, but there’s so much editing involved. I remove so much empty content and try to explain certain clips, bc if you’re not a truck driver you can’t even begin to understand. Anyway, I hope I’m over my hump. It feels so good to clear these off my phone bc I’m limited with space. I see that I have a message from you, so while I’m waiting to my load reworked. I’ll review it. I totally understand. I got my CDL in 2013, but during that time frame only worked 6 yrs of Driving. I’ve teamed and we hauled Air Products. Great paying job, but after a year, it got to me (stress), so I went back to solo driving. Did 2 1/2 yrs local in Southern California, loved it bc I was off every night, weekends & holidays . I love driving period, seeing beautiful places. And we have an advantage because we’re elevated & see more. Well, I wish you the best. Planning is a busy busy position. But, you have the know how. @@Xerokbyte I started driving in 2013. I have worked probably six years during that time driving with my CDL. I don’t think age has anything to do with it. You should be able to get under a truck for in’spections, climb into the trailers to clean them out, and dealing with landing gear, at times they can be tough. But if your man you have an advantage. It’s a bit easier for you men. Good luck. Wish you the best.

@@oldtrucker We have 11 hrs drive time within a 14 hr period. Everyone is governed different speeds. Depends which company you work for or if you own your truck. Also, our highways have different speeds. So it doesn’t matter how fast your governed. It the sign says 55 MPH that’s what you lawfully drive. 86 mph high, I don’t believe any of our highways have a maximum of 80 mph. What’s the traffic like in the UK? I’m sure pretty much like ours, depends on where you’re at. Thank you so much for watching my channel. Makes me feel good, someone else enjoying the videos. 😊

I try and reverse the clips when I’m editing. Some slip through. It’s hard working 14 hrs a day, only getting 10!hrs off and during that 10, making dinner, cleaning up, shower or washing up, editing for a few hours to share my trucking life, then getting a few hours of sleep and trying to be joyful during it all. You know it’s funny because most of the time pizza with just cheese and some garlic on it taste really good, but this pizza taste like cardboard. No flavor at all. it won’t be in my shopping cart again. Lol. As for the GoPro, I’m embarrassed to say, I cannot figure it out. Miss Eva sent me a video of her demonstrating how she uses it. But for some reason my GoPro doesn’t have those features. So I might take it back to Best Buy when I get home time and have them show me what I might be doing wrong. For some reason when I hit the power button, it automatically starts video taping or filming or whatever it’s called. When I hit the mode button to use different features, it powers off, so either it doesn’t function properly or I’m not doing something correctly. I’ll get it going soon. Believe me, I need & want to use it. 😊
