Your quilt is really pretty and with the choices flannel and wool, it will really be warm. Love your channel, you are a natural born teacher.
Nice cup holders Susan. Did you make them?
Yes, I designed and print these myself
What wt. thread are you using and poly or cotton? (Sorry for the simple question but I’m a newbie here)
Basic all purpose thread. You can also use embroidery thread - I would not use metallic -
Nice tutorial. Would liked to have seen it on you, though.
check out ua-cam.com/video/oHxTH3y-xx8/v-deo.html I'm wearing it in this video
Great tip about making a knot to finish the bowl--hadn't seen that option before
I have a rope of polyester cord and wondering if that would work for a bowl?
@judegreb yes as long as its a braided cord and not twisted
Great job, Susan, thanks for sharing all your great tip and tricks. Love your channel.
You are an absolute sewing goddess!
Awesome!!
Love mine!
Love this ❤❤❤❤
Can you use zig zag stitch on a regular machine?
yes
Will this stop the thread from popping off the take up lever? I have two Janome’s and this happens often…….very frustrating..
Yes, make sure to pull your thread full forward when threading the takeup lever
As always, great video! Thanks so much Susan. ❤
That 1st type of sewists…is what this fly by the seat of her pants girl wishes she could be!😬😖
Just wondering how I could join my ends if I ran short
I haven't tried the open toe foot. I will do that tonight. I have watched many videos. No one has ever mentioned stretching the rope. I will have to try that too. I have a really big nose on my machine making it hard to cup the bowl quickly. Thanks for all the thing to try.
Would someone show how to connect two different color ropes in making a basket. Thanks
How do you do the fringe, very pretty
@MsJean113 the fringe flowers are a built-in embroidery design. I'll follow up with a short on a manual fringe on the sewing machine. Thanks
@@susanenderson8583 thank you, I’ll look forward to see it. Can anyone purchase the software. I have a epic 2(Viking) with embird as my program
@MsJean113 I've posted a short on how to make fringe on your machine. No software needed.
Great tips. Thanks.
❤ the solution for a short quilt backing!
Thanks for the video Susan!
Just so you know… you have several spelling errors at your supply list .
Check it out.
will you be doing a video on Janome’s Stitch Composer software?
Looking forward to making my own t shirt! Thanks Susan. 😊
Thank you!!!! I need that visual on how to clone a tee shirt!!
Great tutorial. Clear and concise. Where did you find the pink scissors?
The background music was distracting, sorry!
What size needle did you use?
I use a 75/11 needle
@juanitashort9964 i like a 75/11, but an 80/12 works fine.
Clothesline not closeline
Snapping noise with music is annoying
What fabric type did you choose when creating the embroidery program for the bowl? In other words, did you choose denim or cotton, canvas..ect? 😊
I used a built-in design from my machine. If you are digitizing for rope, I would use canvas fabric setting in your software. As long as your underlay isn't too dense.
You have a very clear way of showing and explaining your process. Great video! Subbed : )
Thank you!!!!!!
Thank you so much for doing this. You are such a good teacher. I can't wait to see what you make next!
aKhhN
Great teaching video but I would rather have the music just at the beginning in the end. I found it very distracting. Your teaching style is wonderful!
Music didn’t bother me a bit.
What works the best for me is to mute the sound and turn on CC, the closed captioning. This was a very helpful video.
Thank you for this video. I have been making robe bowls with my MC9900 for a few years. Last month my machine seized while making a bowl. I took for repairs/service. A week later the tension was totally not functioning. Do you find making rope bowls on your Janome machine hard on it?
Sorry for your issues. I found the MC9900 to be a wonderful machine. I'm working on the Janome Continental M17 and M7. Both of these machines have a "DC" brushless motor giving it more piercing power. Therefore both machines can handle the heavy duty sewing required to do bowls and other similar sewing projects.
Thanks for the inspiration!
This is absolutely beautiful, love all you in depth instructions, they are so easy to follow. I have a question, I have been subscribed to your channel for several years but never get notifications, do you know why?
I've selected to option to have all subscribers notified when I post a new video. But - I only post videos once each month on the first of the month. Since I'm still working full time that's the best I can publish. Thanks for watching!
Well done! 👏
That was fantastic! Can't wait to learn more! 😊
I would love this in a bathroom for rings.
Great video Susan. I wondered how to successfully embroider on the bowls. Thanks for the tips!
That was BRILLIANT! This video gives me confidence that even without math, I can make a design fit. Fabulous! New Subscriber.
That’s an awful lot of overstitching around the appliqué. Why not use trace to stitch around it once and then when you crop the background, don’t close the edges? That way you’ll only get one trip around the gnome. It’s just a thought.
Love it Susan! Very timely. I’m looking forward to seeing how to embroider on them! I hope you show the little bag you made!
Thank you Susan, I love the multi point feature and use it a lot, it makes my work look great without a lot of work.
I just came across your channel and am so excited!!! I used one on my quilt on my long arm today… I am only 2 years into owning my long arm so still lots to learn. You make it sooooo incredibly easy.. Thank you so much. I do have the simulator on my computer but have not used it yet, but will be soon. 🙏💗
