    My baby is 9 months old. I stopped breastfeeding a month ago because I was at my wit's end. Then the hormone dump (I'm 41) caused another mental breakdown. This is my 4th kid. I would say I had a post-partum breakout aka breakdown. Once my hormones normalized (got my period a few days after my breakdown) I felt normal again. And also, strangely, I can't remember the first time I saw my baby as vividly as I did just a month ago. Pregnancy and birth and breastfeeding really pushed me to the absolute limits. Thanks for this video and for your dedication to this topic.

    Its hard to believe anyone anymore after all the COVID lies by the CDC and Health Care companies reciting the narrative/LIES given to them by whoever is pushing the LIES/Narrative. Literally everything the government, Pharmaceutical companies and so called health care organizations have been spouting have been LIES. Just remember! Ukraine is winning and they are the good guys. Their good Nazis! Really. Masks work, really, the COVID vaccine / (bleeding edge gene therapy) is healthy for you! No really, you won't die of heart issues. Its all good! No really! No one is going to burn in hell! No really!

    Smoked marijuana for the first time when I was 13. I’ve been high 95% of the time since then. I’m not 19 about to turn twenty. And through the years I was an all-conference student and athlete. I even walked onto to a division II Baseball team. Marijuana never “slowed me down” I thought but up until recently I’ve changed how I’m thinking. I rather think “how much better am I going to be with out it” I’ve slowed down to 1-2 times right before bed but I need to get over this hump. I really hope this will help me kick weed.

    CUD? Its called addiction. Lets just get that out in the open, weed is addictive and can impact your health negatively.

      Cannabis use disorder. Addiction isn’t a precise word and means different things in common parlance.

      @@shanecrump7932 Its addictive. You redefine things all you want but in the end it is addictive- and you go thru withdrawals when quitting. Its a billion dollar industry that would be destroyed by the fact that it is addictive. One more bubble ready to pop

      "[_] use disorder" is pretty standard medical jargon for an addiction. If you were addicted to meth, you would be diagnosed with "Methamphetamine Use Disorder", etc.

      Cannabis is not traditionally physically addictive like nicotine or meth, only reason weed is addictive is because it’s mental effects is wanted, of course meth mental effects are also wanted, but your body won’t crave weed like it does to physically addictive compounds. Therefore weed usually has very minimal withdrawal symptoms except for mental problems, but meth would have severe physical withdrawal effects. An even better example is benzo, which can be deadly if not tapered of.

    Thanks for the research. Im 19 and I've been wondering if my brain can return to a normal be brain, probably not but it's no one's fault but my own and will work towards being the best person I can possibly be ether way. I smoked for the first time when I was 13, Heavy use began around 15 years old and I just stopped 3 months ago. Sobriety made me realize of my difficulty of remembering events in my life durring my use, and being able to cope with school. I dropped out of high-school and I enroled myself in a Ged program. Hopefully I'm not dumb for good. I sure need those 6 extra IQ points.

      It’ll definitely get back to normal if you stick with it brother. I’m 39 and have smoked weed daily since 13ish and I’m trying to quit. You’re making a great decision staying sober if you are prone to addiction. I had moved onto heroin by the time I was your age. Addiction always gets worse if you don’t stop and getting high isn’t cool. It’s actually kinda lame. Good luck to you!!

    You don't want to take away the repetitive symptoms. It helps them self-regulate. Do not get rid of repetitive behaviors unless they're being harmful to others.

    It doesn't make sense that autistic kids would have more side-effects than neurotypical kids to medications. What makes sense is that their experience of side-effects is heightened, so it's a sensory issue, a perception issue.

    What about ketamine for social impairment? And Prozac for anxiety? I hear Prozac causes bone loss. Is this true?

  • @BenjieGrowingUp
    @BenjieGrowingUp 3 роки тому

    Irritability, anxiety, depression and self-harm is often a result of being expected to be in the same settings as non-autistics, and behave as non-autistics, ABA, all messages given to them by society that they should reject themselves. And failing to change, because they can't. They're not neurotypical. They're autistic, and they need to be understood, accepted and accommodated.

  • @BenjieGrowingUp

    Repetitive behaviors fulfill a function. Stimming helps autistic people self-regulate.

  • @BenjieGrowingUp
    @BenjieGrowingUp 3 роки тому

    Hi folks, do you have any autistic psychiatrists who could participate in a program such as this? I feel like it would be great to hear from the perspective of an autistic professional. It feels very othering when hearing this kind of information when it's coming from neurotypical professionals and referring to normality. Autistic people have different brains, and there are enough autistic people that there's a culture of autism now, and what is normal for autistics is different than what is normal for neurotypical people.
