@@spadiuA321 glad you like it, I think they did it so the two locos would match, I quite like it, it’s definitely a livery we really don’t see a lot of in preservation.

2807 will be going to the South Devon Railway for Xmas and needed to be in black to match the "Polar Express" image. It will remain in GWR wartime black for 2 years before going back into GWR green. We don't know for certain whether 2807 was actually painted black during WWII but 3850 certainly was as it was built in 1942 and would have been outshopped in that livery. The 2 locos look very similar, but 2807 is much older of course, having been built in October 1905! She was shedded at Cardiff Canton for most of WWII.

@@ToddingtonTed thank you for the history, I didn’t know 2807 was going to be at the SDR for the Xmas trains, will she stay there long enough to appear for their winter steam gala?

@@NorthernSoulExpress I don't know to be honest. I believe 2807 will be back at the GWSR in time for the 2025 season in March.

Lovely models as usual, Great western Brown vans are one of my faves - I love the smooth action of these Locos, is the track and Turnouts Hornby Set track?

@@donniblanco5239 really glad you enjoyed it. Yes these locos are really good, most of the track is Hornby set track yes but there are a few bit of Peco set tracks among them as well.

Essentially these types of tankers have recently been withdrawn from service in the last couple years. I think they’ll be fitting for diesel heritage from the 80s period I suppose.

Ivatt Class 4 Flying Pig and Taw Valley West Country aren’t take in Highley The Engine House yet because after needs clean, painting for plan until 3F Jinty and Std Class 4 Tanks, Stanier 8F gets back to working order on SVR
