The 4th - 6th of October saw the Great Central Railway hold their annual Autumn Steam Gala. The whole operational mainline steam fleet plus guest loco 7828 Odney Manor worked a variety of passenger and demonstration freight trains up and down the 8.25 mile line while being supplemented by Iris the Derby Lightweight single car DMU and class 20 D8001 which was standing in as a replacement for the second guest loco 7903 Formarke Hall which had developed mechanical problems before it could arrive at the GCR.
the consists included three passenger sets plus two goods trains, the tanker train plus a van train.
