After being gifted this washer it needed some TLC. The main issue was a leak from the trigger gun which got so bad it would pop the hose off. Thanks to Solent Tools I was able to obtain the trigger valve assembly and a pack of o rings to get this washer back up and running. Part numbers: Valve assembly: MP18-203 (4100910, 4100920, 3500090, 4382480): solenttools.co.uk/product/solent-tools-high-p...

      @ChrisHorswill that dent looked pretty bad, I'd definitely try to get an OEM one while you still can, i think theyre usually 40 bucks. Thanks, Chris. I picked up this very headset at a yard sale. It appears to work. Two questions: On the base, I see two yellow solid lights- is that indicating a low battery? Also, on a call (via my android mobile with a Bluetooth connection), the other party sounds a bit muffled. Any suggestions ? Thanks, mate.

    • @ChrisHorswill
      @ChrisHorswill Місяць тому

      Two yellow solid lights indicate power on (left) and the headset is docked and charged (right). When charging the right hand led flashes yellow. I think they are supposed to be green but perhaps over time like mine, yours now look yellow. If you press the large button above the left led it should light up the led's on the top which indicates charge. Worth reading the manual (www.manuals.co.uk/plantronics/savi-w710/manual?p=16) and also get the Plantronics Hub app since that gives you access to many of the features. From here you can tweak some settings which might help with your muffled connection. To be fair though this is a very old headset now and it might just be how it is compared to newer versions of Bluetooth connection. I've only ever used this headset for Skype and now MS Teams.

    • @seymourtompkins
      @seymourtompkins Місяць тому

      Much appreciated. I'm inferring from your link that I have the Savi w710. Very helpful as the only model listed anywhere on the device is "W02." Btw, it appears the the mobile app is now called Poly Lens.

    • @ChrisHorswill
      @ChrisHorswill Місяць тому

      Yup, mine also has W02 on the back too. Cheers, yes it is Poly Lens now though I still have the Plantronics Hub version installed which came with the headset. Not sure if you still have all the settings available for this headset on Poly Lens compared to Plantronics Hub due to the age of this model. Certainly worth a try.

    • @ChrisHorswill
      @ChrisHorswill Місяць тому

      The best thing will be a full factory reset on the device. If I remember correctly there is a small pin hole to press a button on the side. It would be under a cover. You might also be able to factory reset from the settings menu, though of course with these actions you will lose all your settings and data, such as photos and videos. Back everything up first.

    Very useful video - cheers for uploading. For anyone who might be facing the same issue I did (innacurate readings / weird fluctuations when weighing) - it was down to the 2 large screws both being loose. Tightening them very lightly just to the point where they stop turning with light torque should be enough. Don't go too tight or the scales will just error. After tightening the screws and comparing to a brand new scales reading they are both showing the same.

  • @StewartP45
    @StewartP45 Місяць тому

    Same scales,same fluctuating weight behaviour so looks like it is a potentially common mode of failure. Not opened mine to check production date but reckon probably not dissimilar in age range to yours. Oh well, time for new scales. Thanks,was interesting to see what was inside.

    End caps on various Sonicare models often can be released non-destructively, with either an M7 bolt threaded in moderately tight, and pulled out, with the end cap. Or some charger bases have a shape to them that grips the charging port, by twising the brush firmly, it will release the end cap.
