@@s6idaseenele658 after contacting steelseries they sent me a replacement but I had to destroy the faulty one and sent prove to them
Very helpful. Good video
You're the man my dude
How did you remove the panel?
Thank you for watching the video. To remove the panel that hold the cigarette lighter plug if you look at the plastic panel at the bottom there is a little gap. Just use something flat like flat screw driver or best option trim removal tool and pull in out while putting little tension up
That's pretty clever!
If anyone is buying their parts from honda directly it is cheaper if you order them online as opposed to in person.
Thanks for that information. I should help some people save some $$
Mine wasn't working either. Turns out there's 2 fuse, one for the usb and one for the front acc. The front acc is 20 amp fuse. My fuse was blown.
Ok I was wondering because I seen other videos that pointed to the wrong fuse. Now that make sense
Remove bottom plate and disconnect battery and reconnect common fault
Just tried that and it did not help. Still showing P. I just unplugged the orange cable no the other cable because they are sealed with some kind of black rubber tape and it need to be broken before disconnecting and I don’t want to void any type of warranty
I had the same issue. I’ve tried the same as you but it’s died. I don’t have warranty it’s bad for me.
thank you bro you are the best
Hey, thank you for this video. Can you answer a question for me for me. Can that panel that holds the USB and the cigarette adapter be popped out without removing any other pieces on the dash. I need to get behind it
Yes. You just have to pop it out from the bottom. Get something like the tool I used
How do you remove the panel?
Nvm I figured it out

My handle came off and is too tight to slide back on the door. I'm afraid I'll break the glass if I force it. Any ideas?
You can try to grab the inside and outside handler and try to force it open while push it into the glass, but be careful not to get hurt. But the handle space can open more to allow the glass to go in. I wouldn’t force it open too much because it can become loose
You have to hold it 10 seconds
I held it nah only for 10 second I held it for about a minute if not more. I contacted steel-series and we tried all kind of troubleshooting and nothing work. They ended up sending me a new headset nor before I submitted proof that I had broken the old one as per they request.
Thanks man, I'm having issues as well. I thought it was the 20A fuse since all forums and articles stated it was a 20A power socket fuse but seems like it's a 10A. I'll check the fuse first then 12V DC directly at the socket before removing
Yes do that. Just t test the fuse. If the fuse is good then your cigarette socket outlet burned out
Thanks bro! You saved my life!
I’m glad this video helped you 👍🏼
nice vid bro
nice content my friend i'll wait more videos like this :)
Hey can you put link to the actual part ?
My handle fell off.. where xan I buy a new rubber?
You can use a piece of bicycle tires tube. Cut it and fold it twice and make sure the door glass is between the folded rubber tube. If it still loose cut a bigger piece and do the same till you feel the handle fit tight
Great initial video for the magnet installation. My issue is that the handle keeps falling off after getting out of the shower and attempting to close the glass door. Is it normal that the handle continuously falls off? Thank you kindly
I used a pice of rubber (Bicycle wheel tube) to make the handle hold tight to the glass door.
Helpful for me. Thanks. I have Honda 2019 Sedan. Same trim and same Honda socket. Seems others have problems with this socket going out every 3 years. I was able to remove trim with plastic flat trim tool by pushing in and prying on right hand side. The connector to socket in my case required needle nose pliers to pull loose to disconnect. The connector to USB was tricky since the push release is on the Bottom of connector not the sides. It took me an hour to finally figure that out. Right now I am waiting on the Honda socket part to arrive. The same p/n as in this video. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for your comment and for your input. I am sure your explanation on how you removed the socket from your sedan will help other people 🙏🏼
BTW my power socket quit while I had an air compressor powered by this socket. Air compressor was running, I was about to turn off the compressor and the compressor quit running abruptly just before I was going to turn off the compressor. I have used the air compressor numerous times with no issues but repeated use will make the socket fail. We use the socket a lot to charge iPhones but that current draw for iPhone is a lot less than the air compressor.
@@snemec5678 in my case I have a 400w power inverter connected to the socket. And a 450w Bluetooth speaker connected to the inverter. It work for few days then it will burn the socket. I noted if I hit the speaker volume pass 50% the inverter will fail and shut off. Eventually after lowing the volume on the speaker the inverter will kick in again. After few week the socket will burn. My solution to avoid the socket from burning was to buy a 500w power inverter. Now i can put the speaker volume alway up to 100% without the inverter shutting off but here is what is happening now. I noted my battery is dying. Yesterday my car wouldn’t start and I had to jumpstart it. When I opened the hood cover I noted the plug on the battery were corroded on the plug. When ai got home I opened the front hood to clean it and the battery was boiling. Smoke and acid was coming out of a small hole on the top side of the battery. After doing some research apparently boiling battery happen when the alternator or other electronics are drawing too much power from the battery. I unplugged the inverter and planning to leave the Bluetooth speaker disconnected for few days/weeks to see what happen. SORRY FOR MY LONG STORY
@@videosmas3206 I decided to purchase a battery power pack that I can use to jump start car and it has a built in air compressor to pump up a tire with low pressure. But I will keep my 12 v compressor that plugged into the 12v power socket available in case power pack runs low on charge so I got a backup for my backup for air compressor. I have used my 12v air compressor for like 20 years on various Honda and GM cars and never had a socket go bad until recently. Seems odd that the socket fails like a fuse before the actual fuse fails. It is like Honda did this on purpose for whoever decides to use higher rated fuses and have a fire happen in the console so the socket fuse effect will fail the socket in a safety manner to prevent fire or wiring/connector failures. Also cars are designed to start having stuff fail after say 5 years so newer cars are purchased. It is the reason that light bulbs will never be designed to never fail so new light bulbs will forever be needed to buy.
@@snemec5678 good choice on getting a battery jumpstart. I have one too that’s what saved me yesterday. My doesn’t have the air compressor built in. But it does have 12v cigarette light socket plug. I totally agree 100% with you. The fuse should fail/burn before the socket burn out, that’s the reason why there is a fuse. Honda def make some stuff cheap.
Hi bro thanks for putting that video on can you tell me how you pull out the holl plet out
Thank you for watching my video. Sorry I don’t understand what do you mean how to pull out the holl plet… do you mean how to pull the plate or the hole plastic that its holding the usb and cigarette lighter plug? I used a plastic case opening that look like this one: a.co/d/dzGn5dk Just insert it from the bottom of the plastic that hold the usb and cigarette plug and pull it out. Easy to open
This is exactly the video I needed for my ‘17 Civic. Thank you!

Now to make that same fuse full time on for my dashcam
my fuses are good and the usb and the 12v socket both are not working. Im looking into just adding another 12v socket and just leave the one that doesnt work where it is.
You can do that but you will have to run wires to do that. I rather fix . That is very strange if the fuse work it should work. If you have a volt meter check for current/juice by the sucket
I couldn't find it on ebay , do you have an ebay link ??

Where did you buy the rubber insert for the door handle?
I used the same one it has. But I’m sure you can use like a piece of rubber from a bicycle tube. Just cut it little smaller than the handle size. And to put it in make sure you put the rubber around the door glass and the slide/push the handle in. If you feel that the handle is kind of loose. Cut another piece of rubber and make it double. Also home depot or lowe’s may sell pieces of rubber
Yeah the problem is removing it not the install
Removing it shouldn’t be that difficult. The part that goes on the door just pulls out. If it is stuck you can use a heat gun with caution and heat it the pull. Make sure to wear gloves. If you want to remoce the magnet from the candle you may want to use something flat like a flat screwdriver
