Got a bite from a massive catfish in Quail lake on chicken livers. He put up a good fight until he broke my 15lbs test braided line. Needless to say I went back and got a pretty big cat about a week later. The one i actually reeled in was about 22 inches and 3.5 lbs, makes me wonder if there is still a big one out there with my name on it.

1st time trolling and I landed a monster. 5.5 lbs and was almost 24 inches. Got him on a Tasmanian Devil trolling lure. Thanks to Mike for taking me out.

About to start fishing Quail Lake.... Any bass in there?
I’ve only seen very small ones, like a couple inches long. Might be bigger ones but I’ve never caught one out of that lake.

I didn’t keep him but the guy who’s boat I was on did. He lives like a 1/4 mile from the boat ramp.
I recently bought a Colorado XT and I haven't seen any modifications with the motor mount in the front until yours that is a perfect idea I have the same problem with it sagging in the back and almost going underwater I almost feel like I don't have enough air in the tubes but it seems that it's real hard to get the tubes to the proper inflation You have to take the adapter off and then Close the valve quickly and you lose a lot of air any suggestions on inflation
I actually haven’t had mine for a little while now. I’m looking to get a new/ used one. I used a small battery powered inflator. Let them sit in the sun for like an hour and they will be nice and tight 😂

Hey man, I know it's an old video, but did you have any issues getting that thing registered?
Daniel H when I took it out I never got it registered as a motorized vehicle. I got a day pass for anywhere I took it out and never once did I have an issue. I may be wrong or the laws might have changed but I didn’t think you have to register if it doesn’t have a gas motor. This is in Colorado. If you take it to the Department of Wildlife and Fishing they will tell you everything you need to know or do to get it registered. If you need to. I hope this helps.
Depends on your state. AZ sent my paperwork back for no serial number on the receipt. Amazon or Classic Accessories at first wouldn’t help and Amazon ended up giving a full refund(for a boat designed for a motor that I couldn’t register)- plus I kept the boat. Classic Accessories later offered me a transfer of ownership paper showing the serial number going to Amazon and then me. This was accepted at game and fish for a registration. Vid of mods coming.

dillon hearn ya bro they are a lot of fun and can get into spots bigs boats can’t. Front motor mount can make it much more comfortable and after a long day of trolling reaching behind you gets old fast. The wood platform works but not well for a bigger guy. Be safe have fun and hope to see some catches soon.

smithstonean thanks a lot, I don’t have this anymore but it was a good boat. I actually use a Coleman Scanoe now and I love it. I never would’ve thought to flip the transducer.

What kind of setup are you using? Does it ever get caught in the rocks in any of the lakes you've gone to in the Springs?
Marc Obando I’m not sure the exact name of the rig but I’ve heard it called a slip rig, because the weight slides freely allowing more momentum when casting. The most important thing is the length of your leader line, it’s dictated by the temp of the water. The hotter it is the deeper they hang out. Cold days you can catch them with a 2-3 foot leader. I usually stick to 12-18 inches in the spring, summer is a little too hot during the day. Best to fish at night but I’d bring a gun if your going to Prospect at night. Seriously. As far as getting caught on rocks, use the banana shaped weights with the needle tip. They are designed to be pulled backwards with almost nothing to catch onto.

wheres my fish dude ?? 101 majority of the lakes and stuff up there are private. Can’t fish at all unless you know the owners. You can fish on Pikes Peak but no bait only flys and lures.

If you left the original seat frame on you could use the spot for storage of launch tire to mount your fish finder tranducer using a square pc metal bent @90 and down as far as need be. Then leave launch tire at truck its 15 lbs then you dont need motor in front. The reason the back sagged in water was because you probably had the bladders under inflated. I think its a bitch to land fish with motor in front personally.. Great video though. Ty ps try adding a xtra tire to launch wheel spread apart 2' then see how easy it is to launch then .

Brad Hunkins I bolted it down with 1/4 inch bolts. I went through the metal tubes that the seat were mounted to.

Tyler Kelley I used gulp garlic extra scent salmon color with sparkles, Gulp salmon egg extra scent salmon color with sparkles, Gulp Garlic extra scent bright green with sparkles, Powerbait original scent red, wht, blue no sparkles. Pautzkes garlic fireballs green. First line went out around 10:45 am stayed until about 1pm
