Objects that are filled with air clearly compress as you take them to depth. Those that are liquid-filled, like an egg yolk which has no air, just stay together and the water pressure keeps them intact. Like taking a 100% full water bottle down--there is no impact.

Update-the rack works great on the ocean. I inserted a thick wooden broom handle from home depot into the long PVC length to ensure it had extra strength (not sure if it needs it). I also added a couple extra longer bungees to hold up cylinders that are attached to BCDs and regulators.

ok 7 months later. How was your trip to the barrier reefs 2019. All my professors are telling me the reefs are dying from bleaching. What percentage of the barrier reefs are healthy vs. not so healthy? What is the real science behind the eco system of the reefs today compared to 50 years ago? Is there temperature data in the oceans near the reefs that I can look at? Basically, i can't get facts, cause my professors telling me one thing and scuba divers say another.

Thanks for sharing. I'm considered going on this trip early 2017. March, maybe, so can go see the whales. Regardless, this gives me a good taste of what to expect. Were there many solo travelers? It looks as though you dive in a group but if I need to buddy up, I wonder if it usually isn't a problem. Anyway, thanks!

    • @reefball1

hi there, I don't know if you have any experience with other lenses, but i'm trying to buy the best filter for blue waters, should I buy a SRP or a polar Pro? I like that the polar pro has a magnifier, and it seems to be of similar quality, even though the SRP is much more expensive, but that's because I saw it on a youtube vid posted by Polar Pro, which i find a bit dubious..
