    I'm guessing if you put the first pivot arm on top and added ribs to it, it might be more sturdy. then add ribs on the lower part of the second pivot. Just super glue some more plastic pieces to brace it more. Pivot control looks great but i cant imagine Z axis bending so much would make for accurate positioning. Maybe within a 1/2" inch. Not bad though, this is probably how i would make my first one, except maybe more duct tape :) i've actually been wanting to make one but i know it would come out like this. so i've waited to figure out a more robust solution. The more sturdy i think about my design the more i think i need stronger stepper controls, which are costly. or high gear reduction for better accuracy.

    • @bigrkei8896
      @bigrkei8896 4 місяці тому

      The center of gravity is not in the middle but rather too far back, which affects the precision of the Z-axis due to the weight of the two pivot arms in the front. The materials used in this video are mostly recycled, so there are many lacking elements. Thank you.

    This is a well-known method of boosting the rpm of DC motors. The interesting fact is it works by decreasing the magnetic field that penetrates the rotor. Neodymium magnets are stronger, but the equivalent poles are much smaller and the air gap is much bigger than that of the original stator.

    • @bigrkei8896
      @bigrkei8896 7 місяців тому

      In this video, I removed the existing permanent magnet and discovered a neodymium magnet. I was curious to see if it would induce rotation when placed in the electromagnet state, which is the principle of a DC motor. Indeed, as you mentioned, there appears to be no magnetic field around the rotor, but despite minimal movement in the stator, it rotates slowly during the initial phase. However, as it gains momentum, it seems to accelerate significantly due to the powerful magnetic field of the neodymium magnet.thank you

      "The ball screw [3-meter-long] and 6mm guide were salvaged from items lying around the house, while the acrylic sheet was leftover from making an infinite mirror. The Arduino and CNC shield were used based on tutorials from UA-cam. The stepper motors were given by my friend for testing purposes. The motivation behind this project was receiving 10 stepper motors and realizing I had enough leftover materials to put something together. Most of the materials used were recycled from existing items. Thank you."

    • @bigrkei8896
      @bigrkei8896 Рік тому

      I used free code on the internet, please refer to the link below. You need to modify some conditions to operate each motor, for example 1) initial motor forced drive times, 2) bemf debounce times, 3) pwm_min_duty, and minimize noise if possible. Here are the 3-item conditions for each motor applied in the video, old dvd bldc [ 1) i=9000, while(i>8500); i=i-30; 2) 60, 3)15 ] , hdd bldc [ 1)i=50,000, while(i<35,000); i=i-150; 3) 15 ],, it is most important you need to minimize noise, eg solder directly to the board, i hope you make it, feel free to ask me if you have any questions.simple-circuit.com/arduino-sensorless-bldc-motor-controller-esc/

    where can i get all the details and the URDF file of this arm?

    • @bigrkei8896
      @bigrkei8896 Рік тому

      After learning the basic principles of servo motors, I just applied the 2D inverse kinematics principle to the program (arm and wrist JOINT). All I did was convert pulses into angles and angles into positions to easily code the desired position. I don't have a URDF file. I collected all of this from books and the Internet bit by bit, understood it, and implemented it. All I have is the uploaded code and video.

      yes, x=5,y=5 coordinates are inaccurate and Some other coordinates were also inaccurate in distant coordinates.I think calculation(just elbow and wrist) is right,, but I presume that the response speed of the servomotor is the problem or code is not optimized, i will test it again and i will share the test result with you.
