Retired and enjoying building model kits Again. My goal is to share tips and tricks i've learned to help the every day modeler. It's all about having fun building models. Build them your way, not for anybody else.
Pete Hamilton 72’ Plymouth Road Runner
Been working on this 3D printed 1/16th scale car for a while. Can’t seem to finish any projects this year, as I’ve started at least 10.😂 This is a buildoff car slated to be finish by November 10th. Enjoy and thanks for watching.

Thanks for hanging in everybody. It’s been a trying start to the year, and I find solace in being able to sit and create history when I’m able. You all know Woid Brothers is my favorite NASCAR team, so it’s no surprise I’m building another #21 Ford.😀 Decals from www.mikesdecals.com/ Paint from houseofhobbies.com/ And mcwfinishes.com/ My next project will be 4 cars at once. I will be doing Bown ...

Pete’s grill challenge complete
Переглядів 1748 місяців тому
Got her done. Thanks Pete. You can see this wasn’t to difficult fortunately. Just sanded & sanded then once I got within a hair I used my knife tip to clean each hole out. I was able to literally blow on it and some fell out. Thanks again for the challenge Pete!

This is the grill I’m doing for the challenge. First time opening up the grill, but Pete’s right, it’s the first thing you see when looking at the car. Go check out Pete at: youtube.com/@petesmodelcarcustoms584?si=GxlsZ5X6Gc4UmUBH
Coil springs - how I make mine
Переглядів 2648 місяців тому
This is a great tool to make coil springs. I’ve used this for making vent tubing in the past. Make long coil and use heat shrink tubing over top. I got mine here: Artistic Wire Coiling Gizmo Deluxe Winder, 5 rods, 4.5 mm, 4 mm, 3 mm, 1.5 mm, and 1.0 mm a.co/d/7saBPzM

Been wanting to get one, but hadn’t settled on one. My son decided it was time. I can’t wait to start printing, especially since I’m going to be building more muscle cars. We do have to wait until the gas service is restored to get the heat back on.

Looking great, 👍🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
Resin body looks good,Road Runner coming along nicely, thanks for sharing
Thanks 👍 I appreciate it.
Really cool Robert, 😎👍
Thank you sir👍👍
I wish someone was 3D printing accurate HolmanMoody 1/16 wheels. I would buy five sets if I could find them.
I’ve got a set of steel wheels in 1/16th that I’ll be resin casting for my next 1/16th project. They are about 80% accurate. That’ll have to do for mine. I will preview them when I get to that build. I’m about 20 pieces behind on my resin casting right now.👍👍
Robert that 1/16 roadrunner is going to be amazing brother ❤😊
Thanks brother. Didn’t realize deadline was coming up, but it’s time to finish it.😁
Great to see you back young man.
Thank you bud. Feels good being productive again. If I can get in a groove maybe I can finish the 11 projects I started this year.😂😂
Good to see you back, my Idaho brother! This looks like a heck of a project, but, I know you are up to the task, thanks for sharing!
Thanks. Been thru slumps. Efore, but this one’s been a bugger.✌🏼
The most honest review I have seen with a Salvinos and I agree 100% with your quality comments. I built a Petty 73 and had one heck of a time. Some UA-cam reviewers are extremely biased, making excuses for HUGE amount of flash on a $60 2024 kit. I guess if you get them for free it affects your honesty. Thank you for your honesty
what a great 1st video I would like to learn more about how to do that my self with a 4x4 that I make higher would that work on them thank you for video I need to learn more can you help wayne
Any 1/16th build vids in the pipeline for ya.
PerfectIt 2 on 1500grt using the blue roll of automotive shop towels. Nothing else. And I can't put images here 😭
Try putting your buffer pads in a good drill press. Then you have both hands to regulate pressure. Good drill press= slower RPM with more torque.
Finally!!! I've been preaching 3Ms perfectit for almost a year. You can make 1500 grt go away real easy. If you have a clean worn pair of Levi's buff it out right on your lap
Awesome decals Robert ❤️😊
Nice job. Did you use a Lemans body with that Grand am nose ? If so, you did good body mods to make it look more like a Grand am. I wish somebody would make/sell a good Grand am body (they raced tons of them on the Busch series).
Cool stuff Robert ❤😊
Thanks brother🤙🏻
Does Jameson match paint colors to decals per request? I sent him an email and never got a response. You are correct with the Slixx Decals breaking apart. I shoot two or three coats of the Microscale decal bonder on them before use. But when you get them right, they are awesome looking.
Absolutely. Slixx was the gold standard for a while. The ones they put in the Polar lights kits fell apart from day 1. Most of the racing color of Jameston were one I requested. Last year he also came out with SJR. Paint match sets.👍
I too am a huge fan of The Wood Brothers. I am going to start the Ryan Blaney Darlington throwback car soon. Great to see you back on the 2oob.
Thanks! You too!
What you using to store your decals....just a binder and clear sleeves?
Yes. Plastic bags for decals, then in HD sheet protectors. I have 8 full binders over 500 sets. It’s become a side hobby.
Very cool thanks for sharing 🏁🙂
Love those Nascar decal hope you get well soon 🙏 thanks for sharing
Thank you 🤗 I appreciate it.👍👍
Great collection of decals
Thanks bud. That’s only a third😲😆
Robert I hope that you get well soon and cool stuff brother and I love your 3D stuff ❤😊
Thank you brother. Once you get to the bottom, only way to go is up!😂😂 I have had to reprint a couple things on your cars. Hopefully this last print comes off good. Couple weird issues. Any way, I will get them out Monday.
Awesome hoard!
Thanks buddy! I’ll be getting my other 2 up soon.👍👍
Sad times at our age are just a fact of life, my condolences. Sure do appreciate you toughing it thru the health issues, been missing your videos. Nice looking work on the bird, figured you couldn't do a boxstock when I heard you say that. Thanks for sharing
No matter the age or how it happens always hard to lose a loved one, sorry to hear.. Good to see you back at it! The aches and pains of getting old can be frustrating, for me my hands go numb after about ten minutes holding something, so things are a little slower lol.. Great start on the Wood Bird, love this body style..
Thanks Kreg.
Sorry for your loss, feel better with your back, hip and everything else. Model on.😊
Thank you David
Sorry for your loss- and back issues. Hang in there, and Keep The Faith! Look forward to the next video!
Thanks bud, I appreciate that.👍
Nice work so far on this one. You certainly had a difficult time. Glad you are getting through everything. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it 👍
Sorry for your loss, and, I can empathize with the back issues. Always good to see a video and build from you. Love your builds. Greetings from SE Idaho.
Thanks for tuning in bud.✌🏼
Sorry to hear of your loss,Robert and your pain.😔 I have similar problems which affect my ability to sit at bench for long periods and have really slowed my building down😩. Glad to see you back at the bench for however long. Very good video,I really was engrossed👍👍. Best wishes from jolly old England👍😎 Pete 🤓
Thank you Pete.
First of all Robert you know I've been thinking and praying for you brother 🙏 ❤and it's great to see you building again and I sure hope you get well soon and nice update and cool 3d prints ❤😊
Thanks brother. Tougher than I thought getting back to “normal”. I’m going to do some builds that don’t require a bunch of mods. Last year I got bogged down because every build had major mods. I’m going to do some box builds to cleanse the pallet. I hope you and your wife are doing well brother.❤🙏🏼🙏🏼👍🏻
@bigchef2112 sometimes you just got to a good old box stock build and we are doing well brother love you ❤️😊
My condolences Robert 🙏, good to hear from you, your Nascar is coming along nicely, 😎👍✌️
Thank you. Been tougher than I thought, but I’m pressing thru. Thanks for tuning in.👍🏻👍🏻
If I were to add truck shocks on rear of a 1/25 '66 impala sedan (which my friend's dad did, Orchard picking etc) Which screw size would You rec9mmened I go up to for the "larger" shocks to wind the wire? Thanks
What size was the aluminum rod that you used fown the center of the shock? Also where did u buy it? I plan to use this on my next build.
Just coming across this video. Salvinos just released a new Thunderbird for Bill Elliott, from his quali run at Tallegega. I wanna purchase it but I’m looking for a paint list first. What color red did you use for the body?? Thanks! Awesome looking build, sir!
Thanks great idea. Would this be for a 1/25 model?
Nice group of builds for the year Robert, still a big fan of the Pearson 72 Merc.. Looking forward to the 24 build year..
Thanks Kreg. Sorry for the delayed response. I haven’t been doing anything after Mother in Law passed in January. Kinda been a shit show. Anyway, thanks again.

Nice builds!!!!
Thanks Tim.👍
@@bigchef2112 🙂
Great job thats lots of work i couldnt get 3 kits dun lol.
Thanks bud. I thought it was low, as I built 22 in 2022😂
This NextGen Cup car came out like almost 3 years ago and the model was made in January when they were doing Daytona testing in 2022 (added rear digital camera on the 2nd test sessions) but the chassis were built in 2020 Generic types that's why you see the greenhouse was only nearly 4 years old so they can have any manufactures from OEM to choose to race with. The only problems with the models is they haven't updated at all for the past 2 years on the 4 year old Dallara Chassis. And also they don't come with carbon fiber decals just only sheet metal color decals so I decided to not continue to purchased with them because it's cost more than $55 model kits because all the parts weren't included(Louvers Mufflers Dry/Wet/Dirt tires Single lug nuts Lights for the rain windshield wipers Dirt/Rain flaps Front airbrakes intake Updated chassis (2023) Options on which car you want to build(Superspeedway/Speedway/Short tracks Road/Street course Left or Right fuel intake options) it's too much.
Robert excellent job on the grill brother ❤ and Merry Christmas and Happy New Years 😀 ❤
