thanks, I was thinking maybe I was sweating too much but doesn't last long. What I read is that it was causing cancer. The best thing is to wear chalky white deodorant. My underarms started smelling within an hour. Again if you sweat a lot you need chalk white deodorant. Seriously why would you pay for this when you can buy Speed stick the cheapest deodorant.

I agree with you!!! This company is gone nuts. Instead of making sure they continue to offer their best seller, because just about every other guy I know uses Pure Sport they've discontinued the cologne, they discontinued the aftershave and now they've offering stuff to make you smell like a salad. Avocado and cucumbers. SAY WHAT????? And it's like I'm not going to use anything to smell like a salad. I want to smell like this Pure Sport. This is why I used this product for so many years. This is what my wife wants me to smell like. That's why she buys it for me when she goes to the grocery store. What are they doing? Are they trying to destroy this company? Honestly, this reminds me of the Bud Light story. Instead of leaving the best-selling product in America alone. They've decided no, we don't want to sell this product because we personally don't want too. We want to change you. We want a new market. One that wants to smell like a salad. They've gone nuts!!!!! In the meantime, European fragrance manufacturers have been manufacturing the same product 200 years. I'll tell you exactly what's going on here OK, they've got these dumb graduate school DINGBAGTS that want to appeal to emerging markets and they want to homogenize the world's tastes and they want to have the West abandon its standards of what smells clean. So now theve got coconuts and avocados and Lychee, you know, guacamole banana aftershave is what you want to smell like. I'd would put big money on it that this is a 30 something year old woman CEO very, mixed up 30 something year old woman laying down the law on "fratty guys". Notice how they always bring things down to the least common denominator. Instead of bringing the emerging economies up to Western standards, they lower the rest of the world to developing country standards. That's how they think they're going to create customer base equity. This is how they think they're going to create a larger, broader market for themselves. These people are idiots.

Something happened and it’s not good, I started using it in 2006 and it was great. Later I noticed the change in scent and thought that it’s a knock off. Happy to learn from you that procta and gamble messed up and my dilemma is now resolved. I can finally move on. Only problem is that I have to purchase many deodorants to figure out a perfect replacement.

I think that recently Old Spice has changed its fragrances because they smelled like old man's perfume, I'm not complaining that they have youthful fragrances, but I don't like very powdery fragrances.

Used it for years then major failure. Never irritated my skin, but now does, and doesn't work. Companies are all about profit, and much less about customer satisfaction. Companies do change things for example when the product is too expensive to make or when they are getting sued (they were on this product and probably removed aluminum). They downsize products to sell more to keep profits up. Suing companies for this is lunacy because everyone has different sensitivities and they usually say if it irritates your skin, quit using it. It may be that they wanted to boost sales on more profitable product lines like Secret (which also irritates my skin). Maybe it just lasted too long so they weren't getting enough sales, so they cheapened it. This all happens. A similar thing happened to the Faberge Organics shampoo several decades ago. It was the number one seller and rated #1 by Consumer Reports, and not too expensive. An investor purchased the company and it was soon off the market. No one knows what happened but it may have been too competitive to other companies invested in by the same investors, so maybe the guy had investments in other companies whose sales were suffering so ended it. This is the way money people think.

I recently bought this deodorant from Amazon and I had the same experience

Somehow I didn't notice until 2022, but I've used it for 25 years, and I noticed the smell the other day was off, and at first I thought covid lol, but then i saw the "aluminum free" and got suspicious, and then I remembered when I was going through thr worst of puberty hormone sweat, this could get me through the day, when others couldn't, but I've noticed in recent years a strong sweat would break through, so yeah, very pissed, gonna find something new.

I am a person who if when buying a product it meets my expectations I will buy it again. It is a shame that brands (especially deodorants) do this and that they do not inform their customers, simply eliminate products, reformulate them or stop being the same as before. To avoid this, what I do is buy deodorant for 1 year. That way if the manufacturer changes his product I still have my favorite fragrance for months.

I used to wear the swagger scent for a while until I noticed the smell wasn’t the same. Unfortunately I believe the big corporations care about the money and not the product. They’ll go the cheap route.

Still looking for the original Old Spice High Endurance Pure Sport High Endurance. It was the only thing I packed in my gym bag, at home, and a spare one in the office... for years until 2015 or sometimes something changed. Ever since then the "new" formula just smells awful. Hope the people in P&G find back their lost formula. Just need it again.

I used Pure Sport for over 20 years with no issues as well then... just a few years ago it started to give me a rash like a chemical burn. I agree with you for sure! It is trash now.

Had the same exact experience in 2015 when I finally found out they changed the formula from pure awesomeness to pure sh**. Still can't believe that a big company like Procter & Gamble after decades having an awesome product would change it to something so bad!
