I finally found what works the best. It's really easy to make, too. Braided UHMWPE cord and then a regular serving string. For reference, I shoot a repeating crossbow(viper magazine on amazon), 80lbs. I use a 3mm or 1/8 inch braided cord, and a 0.015 nylon serving thread. It works for me. Learn how to make the string from Joergsprave, then watch a video on how to do the serving. It's really not that hard to do. You could just buy a regular crossbow string and just re-serve it once in awhile. Also, one great thing about this design, if the string is too long or too short, you can re-adjust it. Just undo everything and move the end loops a little bit. I've done it before.
