When I was a lad I spent too much time behind a Ransomes combine and a Massey Harris 3 bagger .. We had a couple of steep fields with rock outcrops.. we cut oats with a reaper and binder .. stooked the sheaves..
Brings back lots of memories, most of them bad
What happened the 2nd Ransome. Did not see it working.
Happy days! I drove a Claas Matador like this one for 12 harvests when I was a young man.i think there was about 50 grease nipples!
WHY DO THEY CALL YOU BOY...........YOU MUST BE UNDER 16.........
Top vidéo ! 👍🤩

Wow nice vedio ji new subscriber
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ótimas recordações de maquinários agrícolas do passado, ainda funcionando em muito boa performance!👏👏🇧🇷🙌
Nice to see, however just wondering how much crop was lost by less efficient machinery.
The sound of the machine - priceless ❤
Combines have come a long ways, today 790 horsepower, 50 foot grain tables and 16 row corn heads costing upper wards million dollars.

Really enjoyed this video - took me back to my days growing up in Newton St Cyres, Devon. The 902 was just like the one used by the Quicke estate and a neighbouring farmer had a Massey 400 - I remember how it made the Ransomes look very old fasion! When the baler had followed the 400 I got paid 50p ( just after decimalisation ) an afternoon stacking the bales ready to be lifted by a bale loader. I always had an interest in Allis-chalmers and remember watching a Gleaner working in a cliff top field near Hartland in North Cornwall. Thanks again for this video.
So glad you enjoyed it. There's more footage of the 902 and MF400 on my other video "Little Ellingham Show 2023 Vintage Harvest".

Great to see all of combines don't miss the dust though 😂
Great job on the video Peter well done, hopefully see you this harvest.
Thank you. See you in August.
Our combine was a 780 special bagger then we had a 788 and another 788 rej was E123ENT the 780 was PAW780we have still got the power fordson major still In work that’s Kep737 rej no
I think most farms must have had a 780 at one time or another. It's good to see some still working. Would love to see a bagger working.
Fantastic look back at yesteryear. Great video 🚜🚜👏
Thanks 👍
My first combine was a Massey Harris #82 After I put new cylinder bars in it it was a good machine
All these old machines appear to have grain tanks, augers and spouts. In 1958 age 14 I worked on a platform on a combine tying off hessian sacks of grain and fitting a new sack. Do these machines no longer exist?
There are still vintage baggers working and there was an MF735 at Ellingham last year which I didn't get on film but it is on other UA-cam videos of the 2023 event.
Thank You, I'll see if i can find one.
Another good video. You managed to capture a good audience. Those combines were steaming through that crop.
Thanks 👍

I seen myself i n the video. I was driving the Super A Gleaner behind the between the Matador and the 902. Lovely days. I really like the 902. Such a fantastic and unusual combine to see working. I love old combines thats for sharing.
It’s great that people in the present keep the past going thank you all .👍👍
@shirleydrury5565 i have saved one or two old combines over the years. The old ones are fascinating to watch.
Glad you liked it. The 902 and Matador belong to my brother. We were pleased you were there that year and hope you'll visit again. We watch lots of your videos too.
@theboypete awesome, i pop over again one day. Its a long trip out for me but yes. Definitely worth it.
@theboypete you do really well you managed to get loads of veiws on you video. I been going quite a while and only 2 or 3 of mine have managed this many veiws. Its a good quality clip though well done. Its funny how some videos seem to really catch on and others not so much. I enjoy sharing what i do and i seem to have a small group of followers who like what i do so i suppose as long as i enjoy it and they enjoy it then thats all good. Im having a break for a whilr but hopefully i be back on it in summer
must thank you for such a good video of the combines
Glad you enjoyed it
Lovely to see history working in real time. Thank you regards😊😊
