A Snippet Of The Annual St A & M Rly 'Betwix Christmas & New Year' Meet

This was the only footage I took at the annual St A & M Railway 'betwix Christmas and New Year' meet. It was cold, wet and windy, but that didn't stop us enjoying some festive fayre round the log burner. The HGLW Penrhyn carriages were still not quite finished, but were finished enough to run behind my 7/8th scale Accucraft Large Quarry Hunslet

A unique perspective of the Forth Bridge from the Flying Scotsman The train crew turned off the internal carriage lights so that we could see the bridge illuminated as we crossed over it An ethereal sight!

Awesome ∆
The driver seems to be relaxed 😂
Those coaches are nice... especially the brake end. 🤣
Looks good.
Another Percy!
I love these little steamies!
That means a nation of explorers
In a place with no trees, you’ve gotta watch the wind.
Absolutely wonderful video of an equally wonderful line! The post & wire fencing is a masterpiece
A nice pretty good running engine! Congrats for this loco.
That's great!
so cute
Hi, fantastic movie, cheers Fabrizio like 2
How did you do it? Do you still use it?
This was done for a customer. I converted it by adding batteries, speed controller and a radio control set up
The land of slow boats, relaxing sailing and amazing sailing grounds. I'm jealous.
Good to see a new line opened and running!
Fun!
Is your Essel rceed or manual ?
I converted it to r/c Mike
I see you managed to cut a path through the jungle! ;-)
Just enough 😛
R/C ? Heavy coaches? Inertia device? Wonderful slow start and chuffing!
Manual Darj B with Slo-Mo inertia device. Not particularly heavy coaches. Yes, one of the best chuff's I have heard on a Darj B, sounds very prototypical charging up the hill 🙂 Slow start? You should have seen how poorly she was when I got her (From the estate sale of a friend). After resetting her timing she is now a lovely old lady.
Was this a separate visit to last Saturday?
No Pat
Lovely to see these places. Thank you for posting this.
Very nice to see you today!
Great views and amazing sceneries! Thank you for sharing!
Really great! Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹Peter
Thank you! Cheers!
Could someone give me some information on how the slow speed operation is accomplished?
The loco is fitted with a slomo device from smallsteamperformance.com.au
Hi so Im thinking about a Stirling or quarry which I believe is the same loco. There is no water level glass on these engines.Has this ever caused you a problem or does the gas always run out before the water. How long is a run before refueling. Cheers Dave.
Hi David, this was a commission conversion for a customer, so I can't really answer your question. Probably best to ask in one of the garden railway forums.
Same to you Dave have a happy Christmas and a good new year
Cheers Davey
Sorry I couldn't make it, running at Peter's is always a pleasure!
It's ok pat
Great layout an nice trains - like 2, cheers Fabrizio
Glad you enjoyed
@@railme69 Thanks for sharing!
How did you get it to change direction without manually changing the direction
You can't. The valve gear is slip eccentric. So there is no easy way of achieving that I'm afraid
🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂😎😎😎😎👍
I love the way it fits into the landscape. Great weathering on the bridges.
It really is a beautiful setting Carol
Very nice coaches! Are they from IP Engineering kits, or did you make them from scratch?
These are the same as the HGLW ones (Not on the website yet. But pm me if interested sales@hglw.co.uk )
Nice
Nice
Cracking line years in the maturing
Looked a lovely day. We were previously booked :-(
Excellent
I visited Schiermonnikoog a few years ago, so welcoming, lovely folk.
The choice of scale sized plants and integration of the line into the rest of the garden works fantastically well. Excellent

Nice one Guys, thanks for sharing. :)
Great layout, very realistic| Cheers Fabrizio
The sound is great!
That looked like a lot of fun and camaraderie. I had a mk1 Crabber for many years in Cornwall. They are great boats. I now have a Heard 28 built to my specifications which were to be a big crabber! Thanks for the video. I take it you are all Dutch members of the OGA?
A lot of green with a very nice track! It Looks like a romantic forest railway. The loco is accurate running as a swiss watch. Thank you for this nice video!
Nice :)
You cut back the jungle! ;-)
A very nice line but that stonework must have taken a lot of work to build.
I think Mike did hire some professional help to save his aching bones Carol
