Once this channel grows I plan to make videos on other Cupra cars and test them out too, do in-depth reviews and compare them to each other. I am also planning to drag races with the performance Cupra's against each other and other car brands such as the Golf GTI, AMG A35, RS3 etc..

Haha glad I'm not the only one who got some aftermarket paddle shifters. So much nicer having metal ones than the tiny little plastic ones When my lease comes up on this car I think I'm gonna go with the estate for the awd 0-60 launch and go for one with heated seats and sun roof. The car itself is great fun to drive but would just like a bit more space and a bit more acceleration now. I've got the same 245 petrol vz2

Hey, I’ve got a formentor vz3 and I’ve noticed that there’s no purple option for ambient lighting. There’s also no option for the driving animation in cupra mode, have these options been removed ???
Hi there. I got a cupra Leon ST with ambient lighting and am able to get up to 12 colors of choice coded, but can’t seem to get purple in there, however as basic setting the light can be Purple. If you have OBD11 of VCDS, can you share the hexidecimal code under control unit 09 -> interior light hmi config -> hmi ambient colors fod bitmask. Thanks in advance

On the Cupra Leon eTSI 150 dsg it says ambient lighting with single monocolour lighting what does that mean??
Hi, that means there will be lighting, but not colours to choose from. I think it’s just red and white not sure tho.

@@Cupra_Guy Not quite correct, the difference between V and VZ is nothing to do with the fuel type. Cupra only make petrol or petrol hybrid cars atm. Also with the numbers, the higher the number doesn't mean more BHP. Every engine you can get in a VZ3 is available in a VZ2 as well, it purely relates to the spec of the car looks and features wise. As for the V variants, these are the more everyday persons cars and are usually 1.5TSI or 1.5ETSI with 150bhp, you can also get a 2.0L with 190, again the higher the number the higher the spec. You also have the design edition variants now which come with Panoramic roofs, wireless charging and adaptive cruise as standard. These features were optional extras or exclusive to VZ3 or V3

I've seen quite a few videos where people have just bought the Seat Leon FR instead. It's mostly the same car, but a lot, lot cheaper.
Perhaps it is. But this car is the equivalent to the GTI as it comes with turbo. And it’s a lot cheaper than it with much more spec.

@@Cupra_Guy 🤣🤣I'm playing with you pal a little, to be fair you had a car in front towards the end of the segment and given you were doing the speed limit I guess you needed to keep a safe distance. I'll try the Cupra light thing next time I drive at night! Took me months to work out the reversing mirror so finding your videos really helpful! 👌👌

@cupra guy. Hi I’ve just got a 2021 vz1 Cupra Leon 245. I really like the purple colour but can’t seem to find it anywhere. My software is 1940 if this helps. Thanks for any advice or help on this. I have 10 preset colours to choose from but no purple.
Hi, unfortunately the VZ1 models are restricted to a certain number of colours where purple isn’t present :(

Hi, i have a leon 1.5 etsi business FR. İ dont have the purple collor and the active ambiant light setting. İ got the most recent software update. How can İ manage to get purple?
Hi, this is most likely because the specification of your car didn’t come with it unfortunately. It is an optional extra on some cars and a standard spec on the higher versions

Nope they’re a screw on. And it comes with an L key to put it on.
What is the average fuel consumption in the city in eco mode and in sports mode, is there a big difference? Thank you.
Between eco and comfort more there isn’t much difference. But between eco and sports/Cupra mode there is a difference. You get better MPG on eco mode compared to sports

To operate this while driving becomes a driving hazard, I have not seen a review where they are not disappointed by this system, especially the in car temp controls, I left VW when the Golf Mk 8 came out went to BMW and this Cupra wouldn’t temp me back with this system.
As you say the paddles are over the top and look cheap.

Im driving a Cupra Leon myself and yes the touch bar is not illuminated at night but HOW often on earth is everyone changing the temperature??? When I received my car back in 2021 I set the temperature to 22 degrees and thanks to auto climate never changed it since then. Who is changing the temperature when auto climate is giving you perfect temperature in any condition. Don’t get why everyone is complaining about it. Set your temperature and leave it like that.

If the weather is hot I like to set it cooler, say 16 celecius. But if the weather is cold I like to set it warm, say 20 Celsius. If it’s average weather and outside temp and I’ve come out the gym, I don’t want it set to a typical 18 Celsius while I sit and sweat but rather ill put AC on 16 or lower. The point is this “set it and forget it” mentality is false.

It isn't dangerous. I have a Cupra and once you get it setup to how you like it you just leave it.

Unfortunately no. The best bet would be to go to someone who does interior lights but they’re not always best quality

Yes you can ! But if you use CarPlay for maps you have to switch back to widgets before you change it and back to map again :(

you can simply press and hold the View button, then the options on the sides will always go on or off. At least it works in my Cupra Leon.

If you press and hold the view button on each screen it removes the side informations screens immediately. Check it out its pretty usefull
I have a question about the steering wheel controls... I can answer with the right hand roller and have a conversation but when it's time to end the call I can't seem to do it with the steering wheel, I have to navigate through the infotainment system taking my eyes off the road to end a call 🤷 I'd there a way of doing ending a call with the steering wheel controls (mine is the heated steering wheel version same as yourself)
Can you not end the call by clicking the scroller in ? That works for me

I've just got mine two weeks ago. I was expecting some lights on the bottom part of the console, where the controls are (the volume slider/buttons and clime + - ) If you drive during the night you can't see anything, it's more like a touch-and-see-what-happens thing. Unless I'm totally missing something, this is annoying.

@@Cupra_Guy Please add to the list that the (optional) wireless charger cannot be switched off. It will heat up your phone to the point it switches off for cooling down.

It keeps the car on low revs everytime you take your foot off the accelerator. In my experience tho I don’t see much difference between eco and comfort in terms of MPG. Also don’t do it at the start of your journey as it’s not good for a cold engine, especially on VZ performance models

I have a problem with the rear air conditioning…on screen in the back it says OFF and i cannot turn it on in infotainment too…somebody help to fix it?
…To "activate" rear AC please follow: - go to rear AC menu (here you can see gray rear control buttons) - tap on the numerical temperature value of the driver's side (on the top bar) - tap "SYNC"

My new v1 doesnt have the wrap around ambient lights under the front window but it looks like they are there b ut just not connected on this model. Is there a way of checking or getting these connected >?
I believe they don’t come as standard on the V1 unfortunately
I regularly buy Cupras to put into eco mode so this tip is great.
Another TIp, you can change the themperature by sliding themperature digits at top bar. Does anyone know how to "turn on" the seat heating with one click or other easy way? (most common: we must pick clima, heating seat, and finaly set intensity, its annoying)
I think I saw in another video that you just press the cold and hot button on the fixed bar below display; haven’t got mine yet so not been able to try it out
@@bryoneywilliams-peck9480 Wonderfully. It works. For the driver and passenger. Thank you. Now I remember how in the summer a passenger told me to turn off the seat heating which I had not turned on. He probably did it himself, accidentally adjusting the temperature. And I wrongly blamed Cupra. :-)
