    Sounds helpful. I’ve used multi tools to save my skin on many an occasion, and had the screwdriver fold in on quite a few. Pretty annoying hassle.

    What a bunch of haters. I do this the same for thr exact reason you mentioned. Also it creates a more concentrated spark stream. I guarantee these dip shits talking about eggs and driving in reverse have zero bushcraft experience.

    I always plant my ferro rod firmly on my boot or fire board, that way I dont accidently try to pull the ferro rod.

      @@D2G10 I think I’d have to disagree as far as too thick goes. For me it’s definitely on the verge, but I think it would be fine. As far as too small again it’s right there. Any smaller and it would definitely be too small. But we are all entitled to our opinions! Thanks for the comment!!

    Hard disagree. Maybe it’s because I’m Alaskan and I start fires with tree bark in the wind and cold…. But I put the ferro rod down on the tinder to hold it in place and strike down with my knife. Works like a champ.

    Use your knife….properly!! Just cause you can doesn’t mean you should. That is prolly the strongest lock made but batoning is for fixed blades

    I think there is a misunderstanding. I mean, if the blade is already sharp why would you need a sharpening stone? And if the knife was not sharp, you won't sharpen it with the skin anyway.

      @@testadicondominio6309 The strop is more for honing the edge. You won’t bring it back sharp if it’s dull, but it’ll help keep it sharper longer if you use it often. Thanks for watching!!
