2Box DrumIt Five - My custom Soundkits
In meinem zweiten Video zeige ich euch ein paar Soundbeispiele, was man mit dem 2 Box Modul bzw. den 2Box Modulen (DrumIt 3 und Drumit 5 Ver. 2) so anstellen kann. Hierbei wurden nur zum Teil Orginal Samples verwendet, andere Samples kommen aus teilweise den Orginalliedern oder anderer Softwaren.
Ich werde hierbei nicht gesponsert von irgendwelchen sichtbaren Herstellern. Ich mache dies aus freien Stücken!

In meinem ersten Video zeige ich euch, wie ich ein akustisches Schlagzeug in ein elektronisches Drumset mit innenliegenden Triggern umgebaut habe. Ihr seht hier mein aktuelles Set, welches ich bei der Coverband Inflagranti spiele. Weitere Videos, mit Soundbeispielen, Playalongs usw. werden folgen. Jetzt aber viel Spass beim ansehen! Das Video muss ich mir merken. Es gibt so viele Leute die der Meinung sind, dass man E-drums nur fürs üben nutzt oder nur mit kleinen Pads, weil das dann Platz spart. Aber dass man sich absichtlich für e-drums entscheidet, auch in Akustik größe, weil man damit praktisch jedes Set der Welt spielen kann, verstehen sie nicht. Gibt es eigentlich einen Grund, warum du immer noch akustische Becken nutzt? Es gibt ja mittlerweile doch recht ein paar e-drum Anbieter, die welche in Metal haben. Bzw. man könnte die vermutlich auch selbst machen. Und es würde vermutlich auch weniger Hatdware beim Auftritt bedeuten, da du nicht zusätzlich Mikrofone etc für die Becken brauchst. Und ich muss gestehen, dass ich mittlerweile echt meine Entscheidung fast bereue, das TD-17 gekauft zu haben. Gut, hab auch erst vor eineinhalb Jahren angefangen mit Schlagzeug spielen und wusste es nicht besser. Aber bei den Sounds, die im 2box Modul enthalten sind, hätte ich mir ezdrummer sparen können 😂. Zu guter Letzt. Sind das immer noch die ersten Mesh heads von vor 5 Jahren, als du das Set gebaut hast? Die sehen ja aus wie neu😲
Seh interessanter Kommentar. Ich habe eben tatsächlich bemerkt, dass es noch die ersten Meshheads von drum-tec sind, die ich schon seit unglaublichen 5 Jahren spiele. Die sind echt wie neu. Warum ich keine E-Becken Spiele hat den simplen grund, dass ich alle Eingänge des 2box belegt habe, durch die zweite Snare und die zweite Bassdrums, die ich an den Beckeneingängen angeschlossen habe. Zu der Zeit, also vor 5 Jahren gab es nur die Gummibecken, diese waren nie eine Option für mich. Ich bräuchte jetzt dadurch ein zweites Modul, das wäre dann ähnlich von der Schlepperei. Aktuell habe ich mir ein PSTX 14" Thincrash Effektbecken gekauft, das knallt ebenfalls mega 😜. Danke für den Kommentare! Und kommt alle gesund durch die Corona Zeit.
@@mbedrums7661 Ebenfalls erst einmal alles gute für die Corona Zeit... Gut, mehr Zeit zum üben :-P Mit dem Drumit 5 Mk.2 müsste es doch gehen oder? Das hat 15 Eingänge. Allerdings müsste man dann auch die Investition tätigen wollen und eventuell ein, zwei Becken über Splitter anschließen. Aber gut. Das wäre wirklich ne gewaltige Investition. Ich meine die Becken von Field kosten um die 400-500€. Keine Ahnung, inwiefern es möglich ist, die Becken selber zu bauen. Könnte mir vorstellen, dass es komplizierter ist, als Toms etc.

tolle sounds . I own the old orange module (stil good ) I import Superior 3 samples in it . sounds awesome . grusse aus Holland .ich lebe near the german border the nearest german town is Bocholt. and sometimes I visit Dusseldorf and Bochum .

Ich bin mit meinem 2Box Drumit 5 sehr zufrieden, die Leute am Mischpult, und das waren jetzt schon ein paar, sind zuerst skeptisch, danach alle begeistert. Die Roland Module, die keine Samples verwenden kämen für mich nicht in Frage, das aktuelle Modell TD-50 kenne ich nicht, ist aber in meinen Augen übertrieben teuer.

Thank you Paolo! For the toms I used the "Pearl Master Premium Toms" from Randy Black from the 2Box website. These are my favorite Toms at the moment. They sound great! You can get them free from the 2Box-Site 2box-drums.com/sounds/ For the second snare I used the "Wood 14″ Snare - Randy Black. Its also there to download. For Bassdrum i used the Drumasonic Bassdrum and Snare is a Drumasonic Snare. Both have been on the old 2Box-Site free to download too. At the moment I don´t know where to get them. Good Luck!

Hi How come you used XLR. Inputs instead of 1/4" ? Is it more reliable? How do you wire the transducers for dual zone using XLRs?
Hi Tavos86. I took XLR Inputs because they are on the one hand more reliable because of theire clip and on the other hand I have old DDrum Triggers which habe XLR Inputs, so I can Use the same cable. But you can use 1/4" jacks without any problem. I used a wire diagram from the Internet with 1/4" Jacks and a Diagram from 1/4" to XLR. I don´t no where i found it :-(
Do you have the wire ring diagram to share? I also want to do a conversion using XLR connections

Of course the main question is: what did you spend on this great idea?
This is a good question. I bought a used Basix Drum-Kit for about 100€ with the following configuration: Tom 10", Tom 12", Tom 14", Snaredrum 14", Bassdrum 20" and after that an cheap new extra 8" Tom from 25,5€. The Scews, the Ink, the electronic Piezo-Triggers and all the small parts about 50€. All the Meshheads from Drumtec and the ball beater 183€ (best solution! , i tried much cheaper ones wit no success). The acoustic Cymbals and the Rack I just had. So if i didn´t forget anything the drumset without cymbals is about 360€ !!!!!!!!! That is very cheap if you compare it with a professional one (about 2000€ without drumcomputer) that is not working better, i tried it. And finally the 2Box Drumcomputer about 1000€ that is more worth than every artificially sounding Roland Computer.

+Leo Escribo Hi Leo, it is possible! I tried it for you with a music with 4.23 mins and it worked fine. You first have to build a .dsnd File with the "DrumIt Five Editor" Software which is free to download. You can play/stop the loop, but you can´t play/pause it! The loop ever begins to play from the beginning. I hope I helped you. Greets!

Wow bin beeindruckt von deinem Können und der wundervollen Farbe deines Sets. Ich habe ein Truss System als DIY Triggersystem eingebaut. Nur mal so als Prototyp und was soll ich sagen....ich spiele immer noch damit. Zumal die 2Box Sounds einfach genial sind Da ich leider Handwerklich 2 Linke Hände habe beeindruckt mich dein Video um so mehr. Super
Albert Weber Danke Albert für die Lobeshymne! Hat mich sehr gefreut! Auch wenn das handwerkliche gar nicht soo dramatisch ist. Ich denke wer ein Truss-System einbauen kann, kann auch noch ein paar Trommel bunt anmalen ;-) Das Truss-System war mir einfach zu teuer, bzw. ich wollte die Trigger am Rand haben, wie es auch bei den orginalen 2Box-Pads ist. Ich hatte vorher ein System gebaut mit Mitten-Triggern (sieht man ganz zu Beginn des Videos, das kleine weiße Set). Mich haben die Mittentrigger etwas gestört, weil sie das Spielgefühl etwas beeinflussten. Mit dem 2Box Modul und dessen Sounds haben aber die beste und flexibelste Wahl unter den E-Drum Modulen getroffen. Alles andere ist Soundtechnisch in meinen Ohren nicht brauchbar. Also Danke nochmal für dein Lob!
