What is the point of "passing" a "filter" which is set to "unequal" in the "input tranformer? If it is "unequal" won't it block the note? I'm honestly not understanding this logic command or usage. Please clarify how this function works.

Really good Hard House tune. I could just imagine Andy Farley, Ian M, Glenn Miller or Pete Wardman playing that at Trade in 1999. Hard House seemed to fall apart after TDV died & BK & Fergie went techno. 2002 was it's last great year.And Paul F1 King & Mark Kavanagh do the odd classic style remix every few years.

I'm sorry, but that all sounds horrible to me. I use CUBASE (Pro 12) myself and was hoping that "a connoisseur of the vocoder matter" could show how the vocoder can be integrated in such a way that at the end of the tutorial at least a small vocal passage can be heard, which is also understandable in speech. Doesn't have to be the top quality of Giorgio Moroder, Kraftwerk or Daft Punk, but here I only hear confused scratching and try and error drum loops vocoder games, now apart from the informative sidechain configuration shown earlier. But how to configure the Arturia vocoder constructively and for real music making, I will continue to search on UA-cam.

It's a clone not a replica. A replica has 100% the exact same parts, looks and functionality as the original. The motherboard alone does not correspond to that of the Tr 808 and is a modern replacement. And some other components are just modern variants of the original component. The machine is great but unfortunately only an overpriced clone of a Roland Tr 808. I'm sticking with my 350 Euro Rd8 which is a technically perfect clone of the original. Greetings from Germany

Thanks for this! FYI: Anyone with a TRRS microphone that isn't working, This worked for me. You can't tell OMTP from CTIA by looking. You need a multimeter to be sure. However, Microfreak has microphone detection that tells you when your mic is **not** plugged in (OR plugged in but wrong tip / adapter / wiring). To see what this looks like, un-plug your mic, turn on microphone autodetect in mic settings, and select "Vocoder" using the orange "Type" encoder. (all the way to the right). Note: it only autodetects when "Vocoder" is initially selected. So twist the Type knob away and back to re-trigger mic auto detection. With no mic, you'll see a warning. Plug in your mic. Deselect/reselect Vocoder, and IF THERE IS NO WARNING, your mic has been detected. Now manually crank the gain (microphone settings) all the way up, hold a key, and talk into the mic. Adjust gain down from there. IF THERE IS A WARNING: your mic won't work. You may need an adapter. You may need a bunch of stuff. But at least you know: that mic won't work. HEY NOOBS: you may be an idiot like me and not realize you have to hold down a key and talk at the same time.

I'm afraid Arturia software does not seem to support VST2 or 3 for most DAWs, I'm on Cubase 8.5 and this Arturia Vocoder instrument does not show a "SIDE CHAIN" option. So I cannot send an audio track to the Vocoder voice input. I understand it supports side chain from Cubase 9 onwards. I have no idea why Arturia decided to disregard the VST2 and VST3 software protocol in their design.
