    We just finished watching the series, great job on so many levels. Loved the Q&A at the beginning of each episode followed by your experiences. The CT is such a great trail, from the CTF and volunteers to the amazing people you meet out there day to day. We've got to ask, what was your favorite section and favorite town? We know, it's a tough question, we get asked that all the time. Salida and Lake City and segments 19 thru 27 is the best we can do to narrow it down 🤣

    Starting to watch your series on the CT, it's such a fantastic trail! We're still looking into an Indian Peaks Wilderness loop (or north to south hike). We've pretty much narrowed it down to about 60 miles, 4 - 5 days.

      Thanks for watching! I hiked the CT in 2020 since my projects were all suspended. I thought it would be fun to do a question-a-day format. Enjoy! And, I'm looking forward to hearing about your planned 60 mile loop!

      @@nathandolenc554 we were a year in front of you, we thru hiked the CT in 2019 after a big snow season, there was plenty of water on trail, even the small seasonal streams. Your question a day is great format. As far as the Indian Peaks, seems no matter which direction we go, loop or point to point it keeps winding up at around 60 miles as we try to incorporate the best features in the wilderness. It'll come together, and of course need to be put to the test 😎

      @@MADHippiesLife Fun! Will you be "testing" out this loop this year?

    • @MADHippiesLife
      @MADHippiesLife 2 роки тому

      @@nathandolenc554 it's not out of the question, though no promises either. The route(s) keep shifting a little here and there, still narrowing down a few things. One loop seems to be forming well, a 40 mile "Heart of the IPW" loop. The other, a "North to South" thru hike. Both are promising, stay tuned.

    Thanks for taking the time - both during and post-trail - to put all this together. I came to this channel as part of a "CT Thru Hike" search (hopefully, 2021 will be my year), and really enjoyed hiking with you. The "science" clips were just the cherry on the top for me. Learned a lot! Would absolutely LOVE to join you and learn more on your future hikes. And - as long as its at a beginners level - I'll be there for your science tidbits off trail as well. Thanks again!
