@@Xoulrath_ is that an excuse to play 24 uninkables? They already have enough uninkables, why play an extra two 6 cost uninkables that don't impact the board where you could play an extra Grab Swords or Zeus?

There is a fan made client called pixelborn however it is being shutdown soon unfortunately

Some have tried it, it's currently a little inconsistent since the blue steel deck is not running full items so it misses a lot. There are some one jump ahead versions of the deck playing Aurora on turn 3 and it's not too bad

The deck has so many choices every turn and is very powerful, it's like training with weights on if you ever go to a simpler deck to be honest

I used blue steel in my first few but the meta was hostile to it so I swapped to blue red for the last few. Got 1st with blue steel then 9th and top 8, then got 1st 2nd and 1-2 drop with blue red. Good overall that I switched but way too much paper for my boomer body these days

Let’s go! Hopefully they continue these they are fun and I like to get all the Promo stuff I can. Lorcana sent a thing out last night that if you turn in Deck List for Atlanta on Friday night between 5pm-8pm you get a Special Promo so I’ll definitely be doing that lol. I’m still thinking of running Blue Steel for Atlanta I beat Red Blue, Red Purple and Mirror pretty good but the Amber Steel matchup kills me!

Eventually the answers will be good enough that the hyper aggro can't just run over half the colors in the game, we just need more sets first :p

This sounds like red blue propaganda. Our only 0-2 loss on the day was to a traditional steel song deck compounded by some misplay from my part. Captain hook struggles against a lot of the decks it's supposed to be good against because it enables their removal, hardheaded is incredible against both red blue and the mirror which we just didn't happen to face all day but was well represented in the top cut. Unfortunately Benja is awkward in the 3 drop slot and it cannot sing any of the spells in the deck. There is certainly a more character/location heavy version of the deck that can do well however it has a terrible matchup against things like red blue and can struggle more against amber steel than this list. I appreciate the feedback and really do think there are several builds of blue steel that all excel in different matchups so sometimes it's all about the lineup you get on the day.

Totally would agree, Jebas is a great player and I watch all his content, but I don’t think this deck is it. Almost 1/3 of the deck is removal spells, there’s no shiftable characters, lots of uninkables, no locations and no early curve/board presence. I get that Jebas seems to like control decks but I just don’t think there’s enough win conditions, basically just Belle Tamatoa and Dime, and he’s consistently down 6-10 lore before being able to try to get to these. It’s difficult when you’re on your heels trying to do removal every turn to catch up. I really think he could use some shiftable characters, and if you don’t like Captain Hook, possibly even some cheap locations to force your opponent to do something early, then you get some of that early tempo back and I think the rest of the deck would work better. Bayou, Motunui, and Nottingham I think could really help here. I’ve heard the disagreements with Robin Hood but an early shift could really help control boards against decks more aggressive than his, and he can sing 5 cost songs on 3 or 4. Also if Jebas likes control I could really see him running a sick Ruby/Steel deck, nobody seems to be running it but I bet with the right setup with would be right up Jebas’ alley. Lot of potential still out there with decks that have yet to be made.

Also, Pawpsicle/Hiram never made sense to me, I don’t want bad cards to try and draw other good cards. Just give me good cards to start with. Neither Pawpsicle or Hiram do anything to threaten the opponent or advance win condition. I don’t think Pawpsicle turn 1 is worth much, especially when the opponent is building a board.

@@criticalpurrs9722 this is exactly what im saying. He has no early board presence that slows the opponent down or makes them think twice about questing. He says ruby sapphire has this problem and doesnt play by turn 4 and thats why its bad but, this is what is happening here. Captain hook is also amazing because he is great early game but around turn 6 he is lady tremaine protection. I notice alot of the time his turn cost is to high for the ink he has which traps him into one character a turn which is easily outable late game. Belle dime is also really not that good unless the deck is really built around it as a win condition. Flaversham is still really good and pawpscicle is the best turn 1 because it advances your resources. If WNW gets hit by ursula flaversham is there to recover. Captain hook synergy with smee is amazing as well, turn 2 play smee, turn 3 FBQ, ink 1 play hook, protects smee after he dries and like i said slows down the opponent dramatically and then cogsworth comes turn 4 and your basically lined up to win. I definitely do not like the ba-boom or FTC. Missing gaston is also bad in my opinion especially aiming for dime as much as this version calls for. Gaston ends up being a powerhouse that must be responded too or else your gonna run away with the race.

Unless you fight against any deck trying to aggro at all since red blue has almost no tools to interact before turn 4

I would say with with how much item stuff is around adding a couple to a deck like this is a pretty good choice, especially since it's a 2/3 evasive. Even using it to just banish pawpsicles and such to minimize draw possibly from the decks that use flaversham is quite good

Yeah we don’t talk about the Aggro Decks I gotta play lol. I will say tho at the Tournaments I’ve played in and at my league there isn’t heavy Aggro so I guess that’s why I have fun playing it😂

Unfortunately it is on a computer rather than paper cards so I do need to interface with it somehow. My fan was off which usually does limit the sound a bit more I suspect

@jebassbb yeah the interface doesnt ask for a million and one clicks, just one is all it takes to make an action. If someone was clicking a pen a million times in a paper video I'd also say stop clicking lol Just constructive criticisms, find away to use a mic or sound app that can block out the background noise like clicks

The deck did have a bit of room for improvement for sure, sometimes you play bad and lose. It's hard for me because my expectations for myself are so high which makes the disappointment high too, I will likely be on something else instead of RP because I am not super interested in the mirror tech of infinite spellbooks lol

I think if it's not fun at the time for whatever reason there is no reason you can't either take a break or just jam something goofy at league nights for a while instead of grinding just for the sake of

@@jebassbbYeah 100% - I hit my goal so it's just time to relax and move on to other things for the set. It wasn't really grinding for the sake of...Sometimes you just really want to succeed at something difficult. I was able to hit Platinum pretty easily last set, but it was an absolute slog this set. Feeling like you've become a worse player is frustrating.

I have opted to shave 1 Medusa for a Dragon Fire because it gives the hard removal in spots where Medusa is a bit worse, my issue with Tremaine in the current meta is it can be played around even accidentally which can make it unreliable and it dies to Medusa in the mirror. Normally Medusa has minimal targets in the mirror that aren't just a random snake or crab but if you add Tremaine into the deck then there is a great target

I am trying without the kuzcos and adding 2 Felicia and another malificent dragon, I also cut the Jim's to add a spellbook and a Maui whale. I will be on a bit this weekend to test the deck some

@@jebassbb interesting. As what is probably experienced by most who play R/A, I find if I don’t have a strong start, it is very hard to overcome it. They key I have found is having a cost 2 that can take out Ursula. Mim Snake does the job, but Kuzco doesn’t, unless I use Last Ditch effort. However, I would rather use Pinocchio, to exert because it’s a body. Hence Kuzco being bad here. I am currently using Hei Hei, with it’s 3/2 for this. I look forward to seeing if/how your changes help. 😁

I’ve been using 3 felicia. It’s been working very well. I could see it cut to two for an extra dragon (running 2). I found mini surfer helpful in gaining lore and taking out evasives when you don’t have a fishhook plus it draws fire from other targets. I tried spellbook and wasn’t a fan. Haven’t tried Maui whale though. Also to note I have not been running teeth. Pinocchio has been doing just fine taking out targets before they dry.

@@stevenpedroza9068 teeth is one of the few cards the deck plays that can deal with specifically Blue Fairy which is one of the scarier cards out of the purple steel decks, I can appreciate removing it though however it will cause that matchup to be a bit trickier

Yeah I have taken to just buying the cards after my initial boxes and trading any extra foils I get to pick up the rest, luckily red purple doesn't need a ton of cards so I am not stuck with no deck in the short term

Goat is especially strong with just the 410 cards for sets 1/2. Hopefully there are more ways to reduce gained lore or limit enter/leave triggers in the future so 15-17 lore isn't just GG

Pete is good but rockstar being able to shift over top of new dog or surfer to quest for 3 can be a good way to close a game out. There are also some games where rockstar can draw several cards off of some of the cheaper cards in the deck to refill the board after a wipe

@jebassbb what about the green beast as a potential mufasa target that can deal with wide boards but also can quest multiple times if u need it too. I'm suggesting it since the stitch package seems to be only there for the "chance" to draw cards it almost never comes up. The quest for 3 is good but might as well put something with different kind of value. Just asking for your opinion I think you did a great job showcasing the list

@@TheGiman99 Mufasa is already pretty great and doesn't need terribly many insane hits off his ability so we still want the rest of the deck to be functional when we dont have him. Green beast is alright however without any way to deal direct damage to your opponents things from steel it may be a bit slow to untap and since most of your characters are already 2 lore it wouldnt make a ton of sense to challenge with them just to untap him. If you are looking to add additional higher cost cards something like John Silver could work since it has a nice ability when it enters and quests to win races. I think the beast may be a little slow for a deck like this since and since it doesn't have evasive it's a bit vulnerable to Maui without being able to get any value from its ability

It's probably fine, the core cards are still there, be careful with uninkables and remember that bounce doesn't work without a character of your own so it can be an awkward topdeck if you are behind
