Karachi & Islamabad Literature Festivals
Algeria
Приєднався 13 чер 2023
KLF and ILF seek to create an intellectual space in which the diversity and pluralism in Pakistan’s society and this is expressed by the authors from literary and cultural traditions beyond Pakistan’s borders are freely accessible to people in an open and participatory manner.
The First Karachi Literature Festival (KLF) was held in March 2010. Inspired by the success of the first two KLFs (2010 and 2011), the Children’s Literature Festival (CLF) was launched at the end of 2011. Thus the momentum that began in Pakistan with KLF leading, also saw the Islamabad Literature Festival (ILF) being launched in 2013, further followed by the Teachers’ Literature Festival in 2014, and many others following their example. This momentum reflects the depth of Pakistan’s literary and cultural roots, and the desire and energy to celebrate the pursuit of knowledge, understanding, and creativity.

Hate against hindus in Pakistan 🇵🇰 like arabi Muslims hate against yahudis same Pakistani and Bangladeshi Muslims hate hindus
Tariq rahman is a poor excuse for an intellectual. His every statement is, blame Pakistan, that's it, end of, nothing more to say. What a pathetic individual, someone so educated isn't able to deliver balanced, nuanced conclusions.
Good effort ❤ please continue it
Stupid panelists, aj pata chala pakistan Q etna peeche hai. Bewakoop intellectuals
A master painting…
Problem in one idilogy who believe in kafirs and momin and murtad

Who feed taliban? Pakistan!
Pakistan has one to export and that is terrorism which of course India doesn't need. World know you feed terrorist -state policy....pakistan is feudal islamic society run by rich landowners and it should remain that...

Where is the English translation?
Can't believe the organizers were so naive that they scheduled a musical and a literary session running parallel in adjacent rooms / venues! This is an insult to these veterans sitting on the stage!

Terrorist attacks by Pakistan and its sponsored terrorists in India : 1980's unrest in Punjab, 1993 Bombay bombings, 99 Kargil War, 2001 Indian Parliament attack, 2006 Mumbai local train bombings, 26/11 terrorist attack on Mumbai, 2016 Pathankot, 2016 Uri, 2019 Pulwama, many many in kashmir since 1990 to till date. Still India tried to have normal economic n people to people relations with pak. India had given MFN Status to pak in 1996 so that both the countries can have good treading relations but Pakistan never reciprocated with the same with an arrogance that it wont be any beneficial for Pakistan and thinking that if Pakistan is not growing economically, India is not growing either so no MFN Status to India. Interestingly Pakistan gave MFN Status to all other countries of SAARC but not to India. Atal bihari vajpayee went to pakistan in 1999 for friendly visit (lahor declaration) and then Kargil happened. Then Man Mohan Singh tried to have good relations 26/11 Mumbai happened. Narendra Modi went to pak in 2016 then he and Sushma Swaraj had to wait for 45 minutes on Airport field and then hesitantly Pakistani let him in, and after he went back to India Pathankot and Uri terrorists attack happened. Whenever India tried to have good relations pakistanis reciprocated with terrorism. And even if we have good relations now, as soon as pakistan will come out of economic crisis pakistan will resort to old tactics of bleeding India in thousands cuts. Not only with India they dont have good relations with any neighboring countries be it Afghanistan or Iran. So its better not to have any relations with pakistan and if we have it, it will haunt India in long-term. And looking at the past experiences once bitten Modi won't ever think of having good relations with pak.
Yar pakistan mein hum ne har culture ko bewakufi se hi jora hai, not even the punjabis are safe from that.
It is deeply depressing that this clown is taken as some representative of this great musical tradition. Shame on the organisers. This man is of course too thick skinned to feel any embarrassment displaying his mad antics in public this way.
What is the compulsion for organisers to invite this man to sing? The mediocrity is obvious to anyone with even an iota of musical understanding. The blame lies squarely with the organisers for platforming such clownish antics. Shameful. Really very disturbing and regrettable.
Nadeem Farooq Paracha is an intellectual? My ass!
❤❤❤
Sufis were like today's Liberals who always supported the Imperial Masters.
What do Kashmiris want . Ask what Indians want - we subsidise their existence for 75 years. moko58.wordpress.com/2024/05/30/the-kashmir-issue/
Several Pakistani fans slunk away after cricket match in Chandigarh. David Hadley, a Pakistani American, did reconnaissance for Pakistani jihadis who did 26/11. So why give visas to Pakistanis .

The Kashmir Issue - moko58.wordpress.com/2024/05/30/the-kashmir-issue/
SAARC is moribund. Move on.
Ayesha Jalal can be quite rude and insensitive. Maybe if she said the same things in a softer manner it would be more effective
Ayesha Jalal comes across as stern, arrogant and rigid. Thats just the perception, not sure what the reality is
Hearing this in 2024 and laughing 😂😂😂
both the speakers do not seem to be good listeners. They should interrupt less and hear the other person out
each of the 3 speakers unfortunately are bad listeners and trying to get their say in a haste over what the other is trying to say. But what they had to say was very interesting
ابے سالو ، پاکستان میں کوئی انگریز رہتے ہیں جو تم کو سنیں گے ۔ اردو میں بھی کام کی بات ہو سکتی ہے یہ ان بڈھوں کو کوئی سمجھائے
1000 years is a very long period. Very few nations can survive that long. It was a natural decline.
AlMohads were not Orthodox Muslims but were Khawarij. AbdurRehman and his dynasty were Orthodox Muslims. Not sure why the speaker is so unaware of this. The fact that he can't pronounce IbneTaimiyya shows he has very little Islamic knowledge.
I understand he is talking about history but he keeps on mentioning the intellectual contribution of Arabs only by mentioning the translation work they did. He skips the huge original work done by the Arabs. His narrative is mostly Eurocentric.
👍👍👍
Pakistan - framing comedy as reality
Voice quality is very bad. I can't understand a single sentence
We 🇮🇳 wholeheartedly thank Jinnah for creating Pakistan and successfully seggregating the jih@dis... I can't imagine living in Muslim majority Hindustan.
Pakistan is hell on earth for minorities
