It’s amazing that they start so easily really, given how difficult it can be to start a single locomotive. It’s a testament to all the technology that went into them really.

My favorite retro printer in this video is the HP LaserJet 5000! I’m pretty sure it was released in 1999! It was released the same time with the HP LaserJet 4050, which I have one! Great printers!!

Thanks for this clip, very historical and informative. I love the orange lighting onboard from around 38 minutes in. The crowd onboard reminds me of the Father Ted episode about the Chinese. Drink!!! More Drink!!!! Yay!! I think delays like this can make a train journey like that more memorable, but I'd say some people had a pain waiting! Great footage. The Merlin 85 is travelling again tomorrow morning 19/06/2022 at 10.45am from Connolly to Wicklow for Father's Day. I wanted to try and film it with a roll of cine film and camera. It is lovely to see these trains at full speed. There are usually a good few people out walking along beaches like Kilcoole or Newcastle and filming. Thanks again!
