I have a friend that loves to cook as much as I do, and like Nero and his chef compete, we also compete. So love and enjoy that Nero and chef try to outdo each other.

Nero is one of my favorite irascible characters.

It was worth watching, if only for the spectacle of Nero weeping over meat!🤣 Great characterization, as always. Thanks.

A meal without meat, ... is not a meal. Its a wish. Like, They wish their life had meaning. So they adopt one. Like self destruction. People who wont eat meat are spiritually derilict.

I am glad all the silliness and unnecessary dialog were edited out. The Nero Wolfe series is a top favorite of mine.

The only worthy question is this, Did Fritz make the food at saul's house?

It's really tragic that the financial industry has pretty much killed the art and craft of real acting. This is one of the last examples of a troupe of players demonstrating that talent matters more than SFX

I need add to my previous comment. I love this particular episode, because Fritz is front and center in the whole screwy plot. I love the way he is blown away by a Sicilian, and his "Gravy". Archie "Fritz, It's very good". Fritz "I know, I know.", and hammers the wine. I think they should have worked Fritz "The KNIFE" into more situations. Very funny, great acting, and twisted plot.

This might be mentioned below somewhere! The real daughter is played by Lindy Booth, the secretary on one of my favourite series, Relic Hunter. She's not exactly the world's best actress but she's always fun to watch. It's great to see her in something else!!!

The production took a lot of risks with this one. It didn't work for me - it's just a hot mess. Still I love the series. Thanks for loading this episode, at least for completeness.

Really enjoy this extended episode. It compounds the pleasure. The acting troupe is so comfortable with one another.

I purchased the entire series when I found that extended episode was NOT in the case and I to find it somewhere; shall I say that I was EXTREMELY PI**ED OFF!

I love the extended version and the scenes of Fritz in the kitchen with mob Archie making sauce vs gravy and the last scene of Fritz and Wolfe opening the box full of meat and Wolfe almost taking a bite of raw lamb. The most satisfying comedy.

Such a treat! I wish I could see extended versions of all the episodes (let alone all the edited episodes again). Thanks so much!

I love the extended version. I love that Fritz kept drinking while the monster was making the gravy. I also liked how Fritz snuck out of the house to pick up some meat. The end was good when he and Wolfe had tears in their eyes when they got lamb chops

HAHAHAHAHA! The end when they were crying about the meat, I laughed until I had tears in my eyes! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I greatly-enjoyed Seymour Cassel’s performance as ‘Dasi Perrit’ in this episode; he’s such a great Actor, wish that he could have been a regular in this series. Thank-You so much!!

I wish that ‘Wolfe’ had adopted ‘Beulah’, in the story; he was much happier with her around. 😉💕

I absolutely LOVE the kitchen-scenes in this extended-episode; the interaction between Fritz and the Henchman are hilarious!!😂😂😄 (In My opinion, this is ‘Fritz’ is at his best/fullest!) Thank-You for keeping this episode available; I’ve watched it countless-times - and would be heartbroken to find it taken-down Someday. ☺️😉💕
