We stayed with you recently. Upon registration, I found the owner Mary very abrasive and rude. I realize the flooding and the damage can certainly be troubling and cause issues, but to be so rude to your guests is not acceptable, and I will never camp at your campground again. You (Mary) made our camping experience one of the worst we have ever had. I will not recommend your campground to any of our friends.

Hello Rhoda, I am very sorry that you felt that way about me, but I like to see if folks are in a good mood when they come in so I do start with a little fooling around and I said you were too early showing up around 1:00 instead of 2:00. Most folks laugh and kid around about this, but you didn’t and that is why I didn’t kid with you anymore. As for the payment for the site, your husband had made the reservation, he wanted to pay for both sites’ deposit, which I took. When you and Corlie came in to pay, I don’t get caught up in who owes who, I just have the person who makes the deposit just pay the balance, you didn’t want to do that. You were flustered and roughly left the office without me trying to explain this to you. I’m sorry if that confused you but I was not rude talking to you in the office or any other time. I did talk to Corlie about this, and she totally understood. When your husband came into the office, I explained this to him also and he also understood. Then when he was in the office registering, I was told that you had two very large trailers towed behind your RVs with your trikes on them. When your husband made the reservations, I was not told that you would have these trailers, I post it on your reservation page so we are prepared, but since we were not told, we were not prepared, especially right after a flood with site damages, on where to put them. But we accommodated you and placed them where you could see them and they were in a safe place, with my husband moving them for you to the parking spot, and then moved them back for you when you were leaving. We try to be accommodating. But what caused most of the problems in the campground while you were here, was the barking of your dogs. It is one of our rules that we ask you don’t let your dogs bark beyond a simple bark greeting others, but your dogs’ barking was excessive. So excessive that on your last day here, I heard one of your neighbors yell to shut your dogs up which you didn’t do. I did talk to Corlie about the barking when she came over to the office, and she said she would ask you to please quiet your dogs down. But that did not happen to the point I had to yell over to your site to shut the dogs up thru the campground, since I couldn’t leave the office. That was totally unacceptable, and it was excessive, you did not quiet the dogs down for almost a ½ hour before being told to quiet the dogs again. Another thing Corlie and I talked about was using a buddy site, we don’t have any here unless you are on the pull thru sites. We talked about sites that could be used this way in the future because she said that is how you and her dogs keep quiet because they run together from buddy rv site to buddy rv site and put up a buffer, so the dogs don’t see folks walking by. We couldn’t do that for you but if we were asked when the reservations were made, we could have tried. This was not requested. Maybe you thought I was rude when you arrived, but I tried to talk to you several times when you were walking your dogs during your stay, but you ignored me. I try to make folks feel welcome and comfortable, but apparently you were not feeling up to this this weekend. You stated that you would not come back, but because of your barking dogs, we cannot let you back in the campground. It just disrupts all the campers, which it had done. Please enjoy your future camping trips wherever you go, but please try to keep your dogs quiet for the comfort of other campers and make sure you make requests prior to arriving at a campground.
