We met in high school,
Both trying to sneak in the bar,
They kicked us to the curb,
But it felt like we’d gotten far.
That’s when we were young.
We’d sneak out late steal the keys to my daddy’s car,
Then make out in the back,
On Walnut street,
Hoping the cops don't come.
That’s when we were young.
Time moves on and over,
But I’m still looking for closure…

With the bells and roses at her feet,

Lord knows I never would .
Cuz 18 barely even just begun.
Sometimes I wish I had.
We’d both smoke cigarettes,
And skip class underneath of the stairs.
But nowadays I think of why I haven’t seen her in years.
